New c63 owner.
Just wanted to stop by and introduce myself.
I'm new to the Mercedes family.
Used to own a 2003 Dinan S2 e46 M3,
a 1999 E36 M3 euro spec. And a E30 M3 (should have kept it).
I decided to breake the streak because the C63 seems to be the better family car than the current M3.
So far the C hasn't disappointed me. The M's are more fun to drive than the C. On the the other hand the C is more comfortable, I guess that's better when you get older.
The 6.2L is just impressive and is in my opinion the best engine out there. I know there are better performing turbo charged ones out there. But I'm a N/A guy. More power through more displacement and not a bigger turbo fast and the furious bull.
I already modded the C mainly because of the disco ball chrome on it and had to black it out.
I'm originally from Germany and have put at least 100laps on the green hell.
Looking forward having a good time here on the forum.

Hi!
Welcome to the C63 forum, our cars are amazing vehicles.
I am from Germany as well, but living in the US for a while now.
Which area in Germany are you originally from?
I used to own several BMW Ms in my life as well, a E30 M3 is a special car indeed. You are right, you should never sell such a car
Enjoy your time here on the forum, there are a lot of very helpful and knowledgeable people around here.

Friend of mine moved over here before I did and he had some room in the sea container so I ran got me an e36 and shipped it over here before I followed three month. Luckily the state of GA did not give me any trouble registering the vehicle after I modded it.
Otherwise I would have taken the engine and placed in the nerfed e36.

Cologne is a great city, I am from the Southern part of Germany, not far from Stuttgart.
The E36 M3 3.2 is a fantastic car, I owned a 3.0 and a 3.2, both great and reliable cars.
I actually live in Chicagoland right now, but NC is my favorite state.
How did the Dinan S2 E46 M3 perform compared to a standard E46 M3?
I do miss the high revving Sxx M engines, but the M156 torque is just so addictive
It's great to meet another M enthusiast who joined the AMG community!!

Welcome brother!
You come from a long line of great cars. Good to see fellow enthusiasts really appreciate the C63 for what it is.
I was on the BMW wagon my self. That is until i drove the C63. Its a lot more fun on the street compared to the E9X M's. Plus as the old saying goes theres no replacement for displacement
The V8 Symphony from the M156 is Iconic in itself. The engine to me is legendary.
Look forward to see what you do with your new beast.

Actually my brother in law has a standard M3 hand we did a little mountain run and the S2 is more aggressive I would say the throttle bodies make the difference.
Miss that little 3.2 as well it's still a heck of an engine which is older than 15 years and up to date one of the best when gets to hp/L.

The AMG just feels so substantial and powerful even when just puttering around
A massive reservoir on tap
The sound is superb, a sophisticated muscle car but with attitude when desired

Yes, the S50B32 is still a fascinating piece of engineering, you are right. More than 100 hp / liter is a statement for a N/A engine.
I have to agree that the AMG engines are masterpieces, I enjoyed the guided tour in Affalterbach so much, what a facility. I would say we are a bunch of fortunate car owners, especially the V8 harmony and torque are simply outstanding.

Welcome. Seems like we all used to come from BMWs and came into the AMG bandwagon. I do miss my previous cars as I have done extensive work on them . These cars are great out of the box and great German muscle cars

after driving the C63 for little over 3month. I came to the conclusion, that the E46 M3 6speed is way more fun to drive. on the other hand the C63 is muscle family car and can't really be compared with the M3. In my oppinion they are two different cars for different needs.
