55tech grille arrived, but with a twist...
Got my 55tech single fin grille delivered today, and i'm impressed by the quality of it however once i took it out of the box and bag i was met by 3 broken tabs
i emailed them, so hopefully they'll make it right. I ordered the grille wednesday night and it was delivered today from Taiwan... Pretty fast shipping!

Just so you know, those 2 upper tabs need to be broken and will be broken off with the closing of your hood! All of them will have a broken tab and tabs will break on install. Especially those 2...

Wait so are they all supposed to be broken? I noticed right off the bat they're all very flimsy and wiggle back and fourth.

Well this sucks to hear, but Im not surprised. I broke one when I removed my original Gloss Black Grille that I sold.
I super-glued it back on and is strong as can be.
The issue is, once they paint the grille, they become very fragile.

There are 2 tabs on top that simply don't work in the fit, they are extra actually if you compare it to your OEM grill. Those break off immediately.
Jason has great customer service. He will replace your unit if its damaged or any of the other tabs are broken.
When you get it and install it, you will understand.
Anybody liking the OEM look more now?! I am thinking of switching back to the double bar

The grill is looking great! So is the seller still sending you a replacement grill? LOL

sorry i'm a little confused, are these not the tabs that must attach to the radiator shroud?
when i tried to replace my oem one i know it was very wiggly as soon as i removed those pins.

they do, but even once they're installed it's still wiggly. What holds the grille in on the car are the very bottom tabs that meet up the actual bumper.

Looks sweet btw! Wish I had gone matte when I originally bought the gloss black. Now I have the oem colored (chrome/black) 507 style and love it.

Correct! my stock grille was using the two push pins but the grille was still wiggly, therefore i saw them as being useless considering the grille is mainly held in place by the bottom and side tabs.
