C63 Coupe 507 tire question...
I'm buying a slightly used 507 Coupe and it needs tires (big surprise there). What is the widest tire I can fit in there without modification to anything? 235-35-19 and 255-30-19 are on there now.
If I went to a 245-35-19 and a 265-30-19, would I get anything out of it other than more sidewall height?
Would I get more rim protection by additional rubber protruding out beyond the surface of the wheels?

You can safely max out at 245/35/19 and 275/30/19. It will give you slightly more rim protection as the tires will have a more bubbly appearance as opposed to the rubberband look. There are a few pics of 275 tires on stock rims.

If its a little more sidewall your looking for, go for 265/35/19 on the rear (what comes on the new C63 S), that's what I plan on doing once I wear out the Contis..and 245/35/19 fronts

As other have said, on the OEM rims you can run 245 fronts & 265 rears. All other things being equal, you'd get a bit more sidewall height - and you'd also get a tiny little bit more traction due to the 10mm increase in the contact patch width.
