Yakima Whispbar roof racks on C63 review and pics
I know there was a thread a while back about roof racks, I am too lazy to find it.
Anyways, I just picked up a new bike (and traded 4 of my old ones in). Part of the trade was to include the roof racks since I do not want to pull the wheels off my new bike constantly.
The drive with them, still noisy, but a lot less noisy than regular square or round bar racks (had both on my wifes car, noisy as hell, especially with the bike carrier on). I have not driven with the bike carrier on it yet, I imagine it will be a little noisier.
They look much sleeker, and nicer than any of the others I have seen, including the OEM (Thule makes them).
And here is my new baby on it's own. 2015 Giant Defy Advanced Pro 0

Nice! Nice bike and nice roof rack. I rented an SUV for Thanksgiving travel but seriously considered the whisper bars and a rocket box to carry all the stuff. Are you planning on adding a faring? That might quiet things down a little bit.

I will never go back to straight up mechanical.. DI2, self adjusting and trimming, always in the right gear, adjusts the front derailleur to prevent chain rub when at the gear extremes.
There is an XTR DI2 now as well for mountain biking. So far I have only had it for 3 weeks. My friend (and owner of my local bike store), has been running DI2 for a while, even at Cyclocross races. You should be okay
I'm not planning on adding the fairing, the additional noise does not bother me. I did go for a drive this evening with the bike rack on, no more noise then just the rails itself. I plan to get one of those covers though that you throw over the front of the bike while it is on the rack, provides some protection and adds a little aerodynamics.
