feedback on 2009/C-63 before I bite the bullet
I've been chasing E60 M5- 6 speed manual, But haven't found one.
I've been leaning towards a C63 AMG , Any problems I should be concerned? what the biggest issue you all face with?

Ensure the head bolt issue has been taken care of already, and make sure service has been on time and up to date. Or, use the lack of those items as a serious bargaining tool. Mileage? Specifics? Asking price?

Re the E60 M5 comment... We deal with so many of those cars. They were amazing new, but now days they are just a giant bill waiting to happen (hence why you can get a 2006 for 20k...) Even the well kept ones are prone to falling apart and costing you at least 10K a service call... The S85 is not a cheap motor to maintain. And the car is filled with dated tech (fun fact: The E9X M3's re-use the E60 M5 instrument panel). The only M5's I would consider are a classic E39, or a F10. The M156 is a very proven engine, it wont give you near as many problems, outputs more low end power (usable in the confines of a city) and sounds far more impressive. An E60 on exhaust sounds kind of like a small bear moaning...
I've raced, and beaten a tuned and modded to heck and back E60 M5 in my C63, when I only had a stage 1 tune. I imagine he might have been able to take me at the high end, but we were already going 280+km/h.

Nothing wrong with the price or mileage IF the head bolts have been replaced with the new part numbers, otherwise, high 20's max. Also, as toxic said, and speaking from experience with two v10s (Audi 5.2 and M5), if that thing breaks, and they are known to do so...huge dent to the wallet.

just try and get one with cpo or good aftmkt warranty if your worried. These things are pretty stout. Just throwing this out there but the m5 w/ v10 is a terd, it has no torque. It's awful to drive until about 5krpm when what feels like vtec kicks in (vanos i know). My friend had a 5spd one, he got rid of a 996 - 911 turbo for it. I was like wtf have you done. He's now moved on to much better cars.
