Command Video Input / reverse Camera

Command Video Input / reverse Camera
Hi Guys,
I have read that on the rear of the Command unit there is a video Aux connection. its a FAKRA connection.
Does anyone know if this will take a standard video input, i.e NTSC?
If I activate the reverse camera in the engineering menu, if a say NTSC standard video input is on, will this show on the screen without any other devices required?
So a standard reverse camera, with NTSC connected to this input would work when reverse is engaged
Will the image be mirrored off a standard camera, one off ebay etc?

There was a recent post about this with a wireless connection or hard wire. Try searching and you should find what you need to know. I believe an ebay type camera was used. It is all in that thread with pics and connection tips. If my rotten memory is even close it was in early December 2014.

It does work, i bought a cheap $20 hd backup cam from ebay (wired) and a angled FAKRA cable, ran all the necessary wires through the car. and it was up and running with in an hour.Let me check my ebay transactions and get the particulars.

Here's the part numbers i used: camera http://www.ebay.ca/itm/271314780918?...84.m1423.l2649, angled FAKRA cable: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/380745054003?...84.m1423.l2649, at the time i couldn't find a female end FAKRA cable so i had to also get a double ended female adapter: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/111473009563?...84.m1423.l2649. If you can try to find a female ended angled E FAKRA cable and that will eliminate the need for the audio adapter

Never seen those ones before, throw up a link where i can find one. I think that is my only reservation about the one i bought, because its not centered when you use the left or right plate light

I went the wired route. The wireless didn't work well for me. Wiredis stll going strong and the resolution on the cheap ebay camera is good, even at night.
