Check out my custom install of a laser jammer and bel-stir integrated into my ashtry. Almost looks OEM, except for the jammer control. I've seen a lot of installs out there, and I haven't seen any as good. Anybody with a nicer one I'd love to see.
I wish I had that kind of talent, I got it done in a shop in Portland. There is nothing else to really see. Just two sensors on the front bumper. Also had two non working buttons on the dash converted to working power on/off switch for each system.
Could you post a picture of the buttons you converted and part numbers?
No point in posting pic of buttons. They are the silver OEM buttons that are on either side of the hazard light button. A couple of those buttons should be dead buttons normally. I have no part numbers, I got this install professionally done.

Ashtray is pretty easy to read, u'll hear an alert and voice from speaker then u can just take a quick glance what kind of radar is hitting u. Also good if you're in city where it's illegal. Just close the ashtray and no lio can tell you have any system, except if they're looking specifically for the laser heads on your bumper. One of my OEM buttons is the killswitch for the jammer, so I don't even have to open ashtray lid if i'm lazy. It's set to autoshutoff anyway.
Was considering doing something similar on both of my Mercedes. Do you have a list of components that you used during the install? Any tips you could give me would be greatly appreciated as well
I have been meaning to do this forever (the pics above were inspiration) it seems hard to find a reputable top notch installer. Reading some of the forum horror stories about incorrect laser placement, etc...just want to know it's done 1000% as best as possible. Any questions to ask installers to validate that they know their ****?

What system are you using? How much was it? I'd love to do this in mine (2010). Fecking ATL cops.
3 heads in back as most laser here is rear shot photolaser..generally off overpass bridges.
ALP makes a fantastic system that work/mates very well with the BEL STiR+ and iphone. I've had mostly all the jammers and with the new (well not so much new anymore) dragon guns the ALP is the tops.
