Check engine oil at next re-fueling???
Hey guys, so my 08 C63 has about 10K miles on the clock, this would be the third time that the "check engine oil at next refueling" light has come on. The first time happened after just 4000 miles, second time around 7000 miles and now the third time at around 10K miles.. The previous two times I just topped it off with the recommended oil for our engines since the level was a bit low. Is this normal that we have to top it off every 3-5K miles?? Seems a bit excessive or is it because of how we drive the car? Any help would be appreciated, thanks

Check out your manual, it states normal consumption of up to .9 quarts every 1000 miles. Be glad yours isn't that often. Mine is also about a quart or so every 3-5k. It's a pretty normal occurrence. Mostly depending on how often you go into high RPMs. I have had it where a month or so I would drive very aggressively and need to fill at 1500-2000. You still have your piece of mind, you are good to go.

As stated above, this is to be expected.
Get your self a quart or two and a keep them in your trunk. The chance of finding the correct oil at a filling station is slim to none.
