Trade your C63 for a SL65 wide body

Thanks for all the kind words fellas.
Selfishly, I absolutely want to keep the car and DD a beater. That said, as I mentioned I'm not at all a wealthy guy, I'll soon be in need of baby carrier and likely soon after that a multi-child carrier. It's fiscally irresponsible enough to own a car that I can barely afford while starting a family, then factor in that it's a two seater and is of no benefit to my family makes it that much worse.
The kicker is that I live in the midwest so I need a beater that can get around in poor conditions. My current selvage title cav isn't going to get that job done, ha! It's dying on me as is:
Therefore I put this post up in hopes of finding a MBworld member with a c63 in the $45k value range (although I'm open to any value c63), make the trade and put the cash toward upgrading the wife to an Outback for snow season.
I've responded to all PMs. Thanks!

The SL65 was the car that first got me to notice AMG's. If nothing else comes up let me know if you'd want to swap with mine in Hawaii. Gorgeous car.

I'm filing for divorce right now. She can keep the kids!
Love the car. I'm not at all pompous or egotistical, but driving that SL65 beauty, then having to drive that beat up Cav, I'd feel embarrassed.

BL - The funny thing is that I get great joy out of driving the super beat up cav. There is a missing quarter glass, the tires are bald and I have zero regard for its well being...which is its own kind of fun in contrast to SL that I treat like collector art.
Your reaction is the same as all my friends and family...they despise the cav, it genuinely disgusts them and no one will get in it with me...which is also its own kind of fun.
Plus what's better than pulling up to the office one day in the nicest car any of your colleagues have seen then the next day pull up in the worst car ever parked in the lot. lol!
I'm going to miss the cav.
Roswell - Dont be mad that my anti stance cav is killing your flushed HRE game. lol!

Sometimes, it's relaxing not worrying about people hitting your car, parking too close, rocks, kids trying to race you, etc.

I also don't have a problem driving my beat up minivan as DD, and I agree it's so much more fun (different kind of fun) to drive everywhere w/o worrying about door dings & such.
LOL @ the HRE comment :P

OP- you definitely have 2 cars at the almost end of either spectrum.
This is why I regret selling my 98 corolla. I was never too concerned about its well being. Heck, I even smoked a few times in that car during commute even though I am not a regular smoker. People find it hard to believe since I dont allow anyone to have any kind of food/tea/coffee in my C63 or Audi.

**** ME! that is one of the best SL's I've EVER seen! I don't have a stake in the sale but for the love of god keep this car! Drive ANY beater, but keep the SL. I myself drive a ****ty 2001 corrolla or a 2000 Honda Odyssey mini-van. I don't care about what I drive in the winter, I can do whatever the hell I want to these cars, throw them around and beat the **** out of them and not have to worry about anything but an oil change.
There are PLENTY of cheap and reliable SUV's and Mini-vans on the market. Keep the SL, and get one of those. Win-Win!
Hit the nail on the head. I am the same way. I can park the winter beaters anywhere, where as with the C63 I worry about it even when it's in my driveway for 10 mins before I put her in the garage.

Thanks for the kind words guys. I appreciate the advice and trust me I want to and very likely will keep the SL. BUT...I'm going to at least explore the option of selling/trading it.
I just put a for sale thread up in the classifieds:
https://mbworld.org/forums/mercedes-...5k-feeler.html
Spread the word!
All the c63 guys who have reached out to me, I'll circle back this week.
Thanks!

Sadly, I would trade my car for yours in a heartbeat.. except mines got 110k miles on it, an oil leak, and (yes still a freaking emissions problem even after replacing almost the entire emissions system minus the cats and the shut off valves (because they are all stupid expensive)).
But I understand your predicament, when I bought my car, both my wife and I worked full time, no kids.. then kid came along.. and we could still afford both cars (okay, I have had mine since 2011, she has had a freaking JX35, EX35, Jeep Grand Cherokee, and now currently a JX35.. in that same time period....), but it was a little bit of a struggle to adjust, but we did, then she lost her job last year July... major struggle, but surviving (only have a year left on the payments...).. and now.. wtf mortgage company (okay my own fault for not reading the paperwork right back in 2005), my mortgage is going up $1000 in May, unemployed wife, kid.. repair work that will cost a fortune, emissions due in May..... Seriously.. can I just push the car off a cliff and collect insurance (I'm kidding, I won't do that). Hopefully I can break even on a trade, I think the remaining payoff is $14k..
Yeah, kinda went on a tangent and off topic.. but I needed to vent. So many people here are douchebags to those of us who struggle to keep our cars, since they always say you gotta pay to play.. but times change, and what could easily be afforded at one time, is no longer the case today..
But thats my problem not yours.. sick *** car
