Installed Update Cluster [PIC]
So to clarify i have a 2010 in Australia
I obtained an 2013 cluster from UK
Plugged it in, everything worked right away [PnP]
The ONLY thing that didn't transfer over was the odometer. It still shows the Odometer from the car it was taken from. And it only shows it when you first get in the car, after you start the car and drive it, the odometer disappears and its replaced with ------
So i have Star Diag, with access to online SCN Coding [12.2014]
Logged in, and updated the software on the Cluster, Front SAM, Rear SAM and i also updated the Transmission software (Yes, Daimler servers had an update for the transmission, and it does shift much better now)
The trouble with SCN Coding, it didn't allow me to customise my own preferences. It only allowed an update to the modules (if available). It wouldnt allow initial startup with override of old settings. Which was a shame, as that is what i was trying to do (did this on my ML63 & E63 and its possible, but not with C63 [post 2009] )
I got some new software, Vediamo 5.05. I have yet to play with it.
Vediamo is used in conjunction with the C3, to allow Offline Coding and Config.
Over this weekend, i will be playing with it, and will post the results. My goal is to transfer over my ODO from the old cluster, and all the service history.
As for as the analogue MPH readout, i dont mind it too much. I have always looked at the digital speedo readout anyway (which is in my correct KPH). But when i was swapping the clusters over, i pulled it apart, and i can take out the MPH readout ring, and either swap it with a KPH one, or i am thinking of just making a new one, with red numbers on it, for something different. See how i go.
The needle though moves in MPH. So i would have to recalibrate it (if possible) to KPH. It wouldnt matter so much, if the KPH & MPH readouts were in sync, but their not. Although the 200MPH & 320KPH (the final numbers) are the same )Give or take a couple of KMs, but for example, the middle of the readout is 80MPH, where as on the KPH its 160KPH (this is very different)
Anyway, not a big mod but i thought i would share nonetheless.

Good work... always nice to see someone doing something a bit different.
Well done on the retrofit - I hope you can get the analogue readout sorted, will be perfect then.

Nice to see someone trying something different. I'm not sure in Australia but I'm pretty sure this kind of mod would be illegal in Canada.

Thanks for the compliments.
My main motivation was obviously the colour display in the middle.
I haven't tried Vediamo as yet. But will have a crack on the weekend!
