Radio Turns on Without Key
Hi, I just started having issue with the Command Unit turning on by itself. No key in the ignition, just starts. I manually turn it off, and 30 seconds later it turns back on.
I think there may be a service bulletin, but I need to do something so this doesn't play all night.
Any ideas??

I removed the fuse - #57. Video display still opens, just no music. I am getting desperate. Last resort is to disconnect the battery....

Fuse 26 stops the command center from opening, no music. Problem fixed for now. Need to take it to the dealer. Hopefully something simple.... very strange

99% sure that you are stuck in diagnostic mode....if you hold down certain steering wheel buttons for extended periods of time you can engage different functions to occur...i did this on accident one time and i FREAKED OUT....pulled the fuse and it stopped, didnt come back until i did it again by mistake...once you pull the fuse and the screen stops it should NOT do it again.....meaning no trip to Stealership

Just a follow-up. I had removed fuse #26 on 3 days ago. I didn't drive the car. I re-seated the fuse today. Everything is back to normal. I spoke to the dealer service, they also recommended that I always lock the car to put everything into "sleep" mode. All is good again in C63 land, for now.....Next up, installation of my Wavetrac LSD.....
