Hey gents (and I'm sure the occasional lady), just a quick hello from a new owner. After a two and a half month search for the motoring unicorn, I have purchased my first MB, a low miles 2014 Edition 507 sedan in Polar White with LSD. Now I just have to wait for it to be shipped from Scottsdale, Arizona to Georgia.
Who knows, maybe the prior owner was on here. Let me be clear though, if they were, and they babied the car, please tell me. If they flogged it and put it up wet, please keep it to yourself.
I am wasting no time in personalizing this one. While negotiating the deal I have ordered the Eurotech tune because of its screaming deal currently being offered, all the carbon goodies from RW, and a set of Forgestar CF5V's in gloss gunmetal with some PSS rubber.
I want to drive the car a bit and see how the suspension feels on our terrible Atlanta downtown roads, but I have actually budgeted for a KW DDC suspension in case I need a little more comfort and want to drop it a bit.
I am soooo looking forward to this experience. Previous cars have been a 2013 RS5 (normally aspirated V8), 2007 RS4 (normally aspirated V8), and 2005 S4 Avant (normally aspirated V8). A theme emerges. . .
I will take some pics once I, um, see the car myself, and once the wheels, tires and carbon in place. Its going to be a long week waiting for arrival.

I was about to say before I read the rest that you're really into Audi lol. Have you actually test driven a C63 yet or did you just see what you liked/heard/read about it? Originally Posted by Hans Grenade

Congrats though, that wait is the longest (especially if you keep surfing on this site lol). Can't wait to see pics!

Yeah I test drove a p31 version and loved it. I do like my Audis, but the one of the reasons for the move is I need four doors, and Audi is not making a performance sedan or wagon that they bring stateside anymore. The last good one was the RS4, which was a great car.Originally Posted by INS1GNIA

Wait, WHAT?!!! How did I not know about this car - I would have battled you to the death for it! I kid, of course, but I would have preferred grey or silver to white - I think it shows the cars hips better. Originally Posted by 2014gl550

Congrats Hans! Post pics of your ride. Also curious why you ditched those gorgeous 507 wheels for forgestar. IMO, those wheels make the 507 stand out from the rest of the C's

You sold your OEM 507's for forgestars? Get off the forums please
Congrats anyways, hope you DONT cry too much when you regret that wheel switch. Beautiful 507 regardless.

Great to hear of more c63's here in the ATL. Please let me know if your selling those 507 wheels! I am local Atlanta with a 2012 p31 c63 black on black.

That pic is not my car. It is a fellow Atlantan who bought the silver one this week. My 507 is white with black wheels. We all know this stuff is subjective. I have just never cared for black wheels. Also wanted to go wider and fill up the fenders. Let's see how my lowly Forgestars look before throwing too many daggers.
I have bought too many expensive sets of wheel and taken an absolute bath on resale. Im done with that shiz. No more HREs and ADVs for me, sadly.Quote:
Thanks - right now the plan is store them until I am done with the car, but I will PM you if that changes.Originally Posted by Eric ATP

Ok, then how about taking a bath on the sale of those 507 wheels? No one wants those things anyway let me take them off your hands Originally Posted by Hans Grenade

All good and I totally understand.
On another note do any of you Atlanta guys recommend a good shop. I know of Malones automotive and Scott seems to have decent reviews. Also there is buckhead imports. I just have not had any experience with these shops and still looking for a reliable shop.

No personal experience, but have heard good things about these guys and the reviews suggest they are legit. http://www.yelp.com/biz/revolution-m...alists-decatur

What's wrong with an Atlanta Reentech tune at the dealer?
Member
Quote for reentech tune is $2250. Just like everything at Atlanta dealers they are use to dealing with people willing to pay too much. I also lost all respect for my local buckhead mercedes dealer after they asked why I painted my calipers red........... I have a P31 package...... I just said "ok then".

$700 for Eurocharged on sale versus $2250 for Renntech. Performance. And as important - the throttle blip re-program on downshifts. Coming out of my RS5 the transmission throttle blip was one of favorite features on that car, or any car ever. And the Audi doesn't sound half as angry and snarling as the C63, so c'mon. The blip on this car should cause a mini crisis. To me its a no brainer.Originally Posted by 2014gl550

It is. Just not in a wagon. It'll be very similar to the s3 that is already here. Originally Posted by rentzington

The RS cars are pretty exclusive as it is and it just drives me crazy the RS4/6 avant isn't here. I loved my previous RS4 and love Audi as it is. Not crazy about the styling of the rs7 but love the power. Sigh
