Need more negative camber on c63 black series
Any suggestions on how to get more negative camber on a c63 black series? I believe the car comes with KW V3's. I haven't been able to get much out of them. -2.4 up front And -3.1 in the rear with custom bushings is the most I could get. I'm guessing I need -3.5 up front. Even a recommendation on some stiffer sway bars? So much body roll. Also, has anyone tried to lower the weight of the vehicle? What seats are ya'll using? Does pulling the carpet save much weight? I only want to remove things that can be put back easily

Reference the weight reduction sticky. Things such as a battery will help.
Car does not come with kw v3's. (I'm fairly confident of this, but check with BS owners).
You're the first I've seen complaining of too much body roll in the BS. What are you doing?

Haven't checked the manual but they look like kw and every article I've read about the suspension says its kW. As far as body roll. I'm tracking the car of course

KMac make bushings and maybe a camber plate but not sure they will get you any more than the Renntech. Might not hurt to inquire. Thinking maybe the C63 kits will fit but not 100% sure.

Awesome. Thanks. I'll give them a call tomorrow and see if they can help any. I'm a little skeptical about bushings now.The renntech bushings I purchased only increased negative camber by -.1 degrees. Cost me $2200 for that.

At least the KMAC stuff is more fairly priced. It may be the stock suspension on the BS is pushed a little more to the limit and the bushings are not able to add as much negative camber as they are on a base C63.

They are KW made suspension pieces, but not V3s. You will have to switch out to V3s if you want full height adjustment in the back (or a CLK63BS )
Agreed on the need for more rear camber on the rear... weight transfers can be a doozy sometimes

I'll dig around a bit... There was just a thread where one member said they couldn't install KW's and then called and complained that so and so's website claimed they would work for a BS.
On the other hand, I've seen another BS here running around on V3's.
Abcut, any thoughts? You'd know better than I would at this point.

Yes they will, I believe JRCART had a custom set and i've seen another car with them. I know that the ones aquired through KW USA have been problematic for one of our members, which is IMO due to KW USA screwing up the PN for the kit. Ive been in contact with KW in Germany about the DDC V3s and know they will work. The ppl at KW Germany assured me that the KW USA ppl have been informed of the PN difference, but I never pursued it further since I got tied up with other life things.
Now DDC is different from V3 a bit, but its in essence a computer control module grafted ontop of a V3
(http://blog-int.kwautomotive.net/rin...eries-c63-amg/)
If you are doing this for the track, you probably dont need the full DDC and the complexity that comes with that, but at its core the V3 should work.
If any of the PN for a Black Series kit matches that of a standard C63, you are being led astray, there are differences in how it will mount.
Dont know anything about the clubsport.. sorry

My biggest concern is getting enough negative camber up front. Do you know of any way to get to -3.5 up front? Would the ddc get me there? Or is there a more simple way to get me there?

The member who had a problem installing KW on a BS was VaclavSV. If you search his user name you will find his post. From memory the problem was the rear body spring cup being too large for the spring.
The only KW with camber (or camber/caster optional) plates is Clubsport or Competition that shows on their site unless they can be retrofitted onto the KWV3. I am not sure of the range of adjustment that they offer. You probably want the Clubsport anyway if they will fit on the BS.

Ordered bushings and top mount adjustable plate. Should take a little over two weeks to get. Said he could even do sway bars for a little over $300 each. Hopefully I can get to -3.5 or -4.0 degrees. Do you know much about sway bars? He'd have to custom make those as well. The car has lots of body roll but I wouldn't know the first thing about what sizes to tell him to make me. I'm pretty excited to get this stuff done. I think this car has serious potential with less roll and enough - camber. If I get that dialed in I'll probably put the car on a serious diet. So much more fun showing up to the track as an under dog
