2014 507 without an LSD / package 471?

Looking at a beautifully speced 507, but one thing seems to be missing - an LSD. Were they stock in the 507 package or is it possible this car was actually ordered without one?

As an aside, I have absolutely loved the difference in my '09 since adding the Wavetrac.

Thanks,
Tom

It was an added cost option for US cars so it's definitely possible. 471 - mechanically locking differential should be on the data card if it has it. If it doesn't have one you can always add one.

The LSD was not stock on the 507 C63 (at least in the US). It was a $2K stand alone option so you will likely find many 507 C63s did not come with an LSD. Quaife/Wavetrac are popular aftermarket LSD vendors.

I installed a Wavetrac on my 2009 C63 and it really made a world of difference. Was looking at a leftover 2014 507 and kinda floored that someone would well option this car and leave the LSD off. When I called the dealer to ask, they had no idea.

Not like I *needed* a 507 anyway...

Makes you wonder what the person was thinking when they ordered/speced the car. "Lighting package...pshh, I love ugly yellow lights. LSD...pshh, I want to spin one tire and never go anywhere."

I think to add one will likely void the warranty.

Only if it "causes" a failure of a covered component, and then only as to that component.

Yeah I assumed they came with the LSD as well and almost bought one but realized it didn't have one. So i opt to go with one for less miles and more expensive that did amongst other options i perferred

Wanting to put an after market LSD as well. Aside from price difference, any noticeable differences between Wavetrac or Renntech? Thoughts?

Havnt hear much about the Renntech lsd or anyone installing it, I would just stick with Wavetrac or Quafie lsd. I know you said $ wasn't a diff. but why pay 3x times the amount for a similar product.

"void the warranty"

So an aftermarket diff will prevent the dealer from fixing a broken wiper motor, or a bad valve lifter, or...
