Methanol injection
Does anyone have any experience with Meth injection on our cars, I have seen a few mentions of dads c63 using nos but nothing about methanol. I have messaged a few tuners posing the question with no replies. Does anyone have a tuner that has dealt with methanol tuning that could answer a few questions?

I've used Water/Meth on Turbo Engines before.
It doesn't do much of anything for an N/A car. For a Turbo Car, you get a lot of gains in terms of cooling, and added octane boost.

Oh for sure I used methanol on my previous turbo cars and the gains that can be gained are great, from any research or other forums you can basically run a race map for 100 octane while using methanol. When I received my race maps from eurocharged they told me 10-15 whp for the 104 map and in my mine a 500 dollar meth kit to gain another 10-15 whp is a win in my books

I've considered this. I used to run meth on my 335.
I see n/a ls7 guys using it for high compression builds, helps run cooler and more consistent for those guys looking to maximize runs at the strip/track.

The gains are were not huge over a non meth tune. You can find comparisons on giac's website but that is not the point.
On the n54 you could get great gains with meth but there were a lot of factors.
I used a snow stage 2 system which was essentially off the shelf universal.
Kits can be tailored big time per application by vishnu and bms/cooling mist etc... For the bmw platform.
Aquamist has some of the nicest setups.
The point of it all was to run cooler, and make consistent power. The added bonus of increased octane to eliminate knock was a bonus for safety.
There are many discussions on meth injection, i could not even begin to scratch the surface.
I think the point here would be to tune aggressively for meth and benefit from cooler iat's and consistent power output.

Hey guys, I bumped into the thread out of recent interest in the water methanol injection system for our naturally aspirated engines. I have a v7 Eurocharged tune that is working brilliantly and I reached out to Jerry to understand whether a re-tune would be necessary to further advance timing in case of methanol kit installation and Jerry said a retune is not needed. I am guessing Jerry wants to play it safe so that the engine does not knock in case of any malfunction to the methanol system etc. I was wondering whether anyone here installed the kit on an EC tuned car and did you see power gains despite no retune?
I get the part where water methanol is going to drive the intake temperature down allowing the engine not to retard timing hence constantly exploiting the full capabilities of the tune irrespective of weather conditions etc.. and also the methanol cleaning the internal etc. question is would there be any power gains without a more aggressive tune?
