Magnuson’s Hammer Supercharger: Some technical details
For those who want an insight on why the Hammer supercharger is so efficient, here is a cross-sectioned assembly. (PDF attached)

Key points:
- Adds ~120rwHP in standard kit form on unmodified car
- Calibration included for standard kit – custom tunes readily available from our Dealers.
- Calibration can be done online via OBDII and Android device – ECU remains in vehicle.
- Various enhancement products will be available through Dealers.
- Adds >200rwHP with appropriate supporting upgrades (exhaust, injectors, etc)

Technical features:
- Eaton TVS2300 rotor group
- Kit produces 7-8 psi. in standard form on a showroom vehicle
- Installs without any metal cutting (no drilling, sawing etc.)
- Installs without any wiring being cut – all connections are plug-in
- O-rings on all interfaces (leak-free install)
- Large CFD-optimised intake with high velocity flow path
- Unrestricted rotor discharge port (maximises flow, minimises loss)
- Large plenum (equalises flow to all ports)
- Long port “runners” for improved fuelling (minimises cross-fire)
- Ø55mm bypass plate (bypassed air is also cooled)
- Charge Air Coolers utilising F1 technology ensure lowest IAT’s
- Extruded multi-rib tube for CAC coolant path (maximises heat extraction)
- Louvered CAC fins (reduces pressure drop without sacrificing cooling efficiency)

Thanks for posting this. Have there been any installs in North America? Also, do we need to through a dealer? There are a few here in the North East, but might someone who has some experience with an M156.

There are a few "pilot" installs in NA, although they are mostly on the West coast. However, I think there is one in NJ.
Although we can sell direct (the superchargers are built in our Ventura CA facility), Dealer installs are recommended & required for warranty.

The differences between the two supercharger systems are vast - they are based on entirely different concepts, technologies, and design philosophies.
In addition to the features highlighted in the image above, the Magnuson solution has:
- An integral design – the entire supercharger was designed specifically for the M156 from a clean sheet. It has been a no-compromise approach utilising the best materials and latest technologies. It has been styled to be consistent with an OEM installation.
- Eaton TVS2300 based – the most efficient positive displacement rotors system; the same supercharger technology used in factory-supercharged GM, Audi, Jaguar, and Ford vehicles. Eaton TVS-based rotors are quieter, run cooler, and are more efficient then any other supercharging technology available.
- CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) assisted design – maximises airflow & charge distribution.
- Discharge-up configuration – for best cooling & airflow distribution with the least torturous charge path.
- Vacuum operated bypass – has minimal parasitic loss and heat during cruise as the Roots supercharger does not compress when not needed.
- Dual CAC's (Charge Air Coolers) – utilises F1 thermal control technology to ensure the IAT's remain as low as possible.
- OEM positioned injectors – ensuring the fuel atomisation is ideally placed for maximum burn across the rev range.
- Plug-n-play install – utilising existing mounting points for all brackets & fasteners. No splicing into wires or drilling into metal. Even the large LTR (Low Temperature Radiator) is installed without removing the front bar. An install can usually be completed in 1 day.
- Calibration via the OBDII port – the tune can be loaded without removing the ECU.
- 3-year/36,000 mile warranty – Magnuson believes in its products and proves it by unequalled support.
We have no intention of being a "one-stop-shop" for all things AMG – but we are the best at what we do.

Which means, you have experience with RHD Cars. I assume your kits will fit RHD cars no problem? What do you recommend in terms of headers?
I've got iPE Headers, will I be able to re-use those? There's not many headers that fit RHD Cars without modification.
Weistec/MHP/MBH don't fit RHDs. Only iPEs are known to fit RHD without modification as far as I know.

Ah yes, there's Cargraphics too. But, way overpriced IMO. Great stuff though.
FiE doesn't make Headers for the W204, or at least they don't on their website.
There's a local AUS Brand that makes headers for the RHD C63, but ,they never got back to me. DPE or something?

Yes - IPE headers can be re-used. (I have IPE on my Coupe).
As suggested above, DPE also have RHD headers as do X-Force. I am told that the Benzworks (California) product may also be RHD-compatible.

The IPE head-to-headers transition is nice & they are well made, but they are not tuned length & I have not done any real performance analysis on the design. I ceramic coated mine.

i know its in side the collector thats the problem dont get me wrong they work but who knows they may cause damage in the future
