Time to say goodbye....Nope. Im back for a third time.
So....I just bought my third w204 C63. Is that a record?
I had one eye on the exit door, and possibly a C450/C43 when an option presented itself. So after driving an 08 (which met an unfortunate demise), an 09 P30 (which had too many miles) , I am now in a 2012 P31.
It has about 38xxxx kms on it, or just over 20xxxx miles for our American friends. Seems to be very clean and has a 3 year CPO. Between the switch from black to white, and the upgraded interior I have managed to keep the old car I loved and yet get a new one. At some point I will post some thoughts re the differences.
And so the modding begins yet again.....sorry this is the best photo I have for now.

Nice find and great looking car. Happy to have you around and glad you didn't jump ship. Enjoy the '12 and I think you will find it a little different to drive than the 08-11. Looking forward to your impressions.

Not feeling the 'fake 507' stripes, but otherwise nice ride man.
No, actually there's another guy on here who keeps buying and crashing C63's like it's his job. I think he's on his 4th or 5th now unless he's been banned from owning another. Needs to do it a few more times to stabilize prices IMO.

You guys are awesome. As usual. Thanks for all the positivity!!!
BLKROKT I think I feel the same about the stripes, but just gonna figure out what I want to do as an end goal before I start ripping and tearing. The only thing I have done so far is can the orange marker lights. God I hate those.
Kriston, I did almost grab a 507 until it ended up with its guts pulled out and 18k of warranty work on the motor at which pointed it didn't much feel like it was built in Germany. Grew tired of waiting for another. Ill put up a couple of pics at the end of the post.
And Mort, I have very much already noticed a difference between the first two cars and this one. More refined, interior obviously but the ride makes the 09 feel like a pick up truck. Transmission is better. And I also thought that this motor feels a little more snappier and more 'free revving' than the other. Not more powerful (had a v5 tune in the other) but it just felt a little more responsive. I was at a loss, but then remembered the forged internals. They are lighter I believe, and perhaps that's the source of the extra zippiness?
All in all, its just a relief to still be in the family, cos Zephyr I aint no quitter lol. The W205 C63 is awesome, and the C43 is a lovely car, but there is something about the M156 and its sound that just feels like going home. I am a happy camper.
Here's the pics of that 507 that just went in for a service, but I think you'll see why I didn't purchase in the end

Judging by your sig Ins1ngia I can just follow along using you as a map. I have most of that stuff on deck, and what I don't have, I want.

My 2010 was a P31 and my 2012 is a base M156. I agree you can feel the difference in response with the lighter internals. I might have passed on this one for a P31 if I realized the difference. All in all I am very happy with the 2012 but there is no question you can feel the difference even with headers on and a tune. Most of the time the sound and thrust carries me away so no regrets...LOL
