Not every C63 has to go for Big money

Found this car in FL and looks like a good deal. 13" with 27k miles still under factory warranty. This is the type of car I will be looking for in the spring when I purchase. Do you see anything that stands out with this one that would be a red flag ?? Can someone run the vin to see what options it has ?
Thanks.

Do you understand what "reserve not met" means? Just because that car is on eBay right now for $29k does not mean it will sell for $29k.
Also, depending on where you are, I would buy in the dead of winter. That is when the prices on these cars will be at their lowest. Spring is when the prices shoot up because everybody starts buying sports cars in the Spring to enjoy them the longest.
I'll bet if you wanted to buy that car right now you'd spend somewhere in the low 40's.

Ya betting that is a 45k car, probably reserve is set for 40 or more I would bet unless they suckered someone on the trade real hard, but they should be able to get above 40k for that car all day long, so doubt they will take less.

To be honest I did not see the reserve when I posted it but I believe that deals can be found if you are willing to look. I even thought that this price was below market. I will call this dealership after it closes to see what they want for it. I do tend to find that cars from FL are a bit less money.

Just come back here whenever you are ready to buy. Nobody knows what the market will look like when that time comes but we keep a pretty close eye on it here. So like I said, just come back and post up a car or budget your interested in spending and someone will help from there.

Facelift is really not that important to me. I've looked at both styles and the differences are subtle to me. I will be looking for an 11' or 12' (head bolt issue) with under 50k miles in the 25-30k range. I hope to purchase in the spring.

One thing is for sure, they get cheaper every day and you certainly can get some good deals on pre FL cars, there is a fairly significant difference from an 11 to a 12 FL car, people pay a fair bit more for the FL cars.

The face-lift is nice but not that important to me. It just means that the older cars are more affordable. Also, I am not sure what year they switched over to Alcantara inserts but I definitely prefer the soft leather of the older style.

Not sure about the older cars but the FL cars have the alcantara standard (it is called MBTex/Dinamica, which is basically fake material, not leather, but does wear like iron. All leather was an upgrade option over the standard black MBTex - one easy way to tell is that you get the power seat button on the door if you have leather seats as it was part of the package, if the seat adjustments are on the side of the seat and the for/aft adjuster is manual not power, then you have the non leather seats.

Call and ask for the sales manager. Tell him you are a serious buyer, who will be looking to purchase in 5-6 months. Tell him 604 sent you.

Checked the in service date have you?
It could be January 5th or December 15th. Remember it is 4 yr or 50000 mikes which ever first occurs. It matters.

Dinamica is an ultra suede like product manufactured as a fabric from recycle polyester as I recall.
Alcantra is a polyester/polyurethane product developed but Toray Chemical about 10. years ago. I had it in my 2011 E class. It wears like iron, the colours goes alway through and it becomes more supple with use. Another Japanese company developed a PVC product with additives in the film and a soft touch finish the has about 70% of the moisture release characteristics of leather but it was rejected by MB when we presented to them after we licensed the technology. One of the big three is still using a variant of it 10 yr. later.

Just joking brotha, what is your price range? & what are some MUST to have on the c63??
You know the pre facelifts are dirt cheap right now. May want to look into those as well.

Near as I can figure, he doesnt own a C63, is thinking about buying one in the spring, yet is asking people to spend their time running VINS on cars that are for sale now, and talking like the expert. Total gas bag and dreamer who is always about 5k or more short on every estimate he ever gives. Now he has thread saying "See? you can buy these cheap".
There. THATs what I what I was gonna say.

under 50k? and not a 09 or 10?
From my research (as a recent used buyer) you're gonna have to up that price a bit brotha, like 35k at least. I was finding 09's going for over 30k with 4x,xxx miles on em.

11' or 12' in the 25-35k range under 50k miles in black and if I can find one under warranty that would be a big bonus but not a deal breaker.. Facelift is not a deal breaker either.. I prefer the older style full leather seats and like a dark wood trim. If there wasn't an issue with head bolts I would be just fine with an older model but since it costs 5 years salary to fix I am looking for newer.

And the guy who produced some pre FLs as comparables in that other thread, then told the buyer who was 5k off the mark to go talk to the sales manager cos the sales guy just wasn't getting it done.

Guy sounds like he wants to spend too little, to get too much, for something he wont be able to maintain.
Okay, now I said it too. Anyone else? lol
