Does anyone know a way to connect a device (like an iPhone) to COMAND to watch videos on the screen? Pretty sure there isn't a way, or at least not an inexpensive way, but curious to see if anyone has done this.

This is sort of tag on the thread re getting a fix to make it possible to program the NAV will in motion.
Can you play the maps and audio that come off of Google maps or Apple maps through the system. i.e. just use the screen as a monitor?

You would also need Video in Motion unlock if you want to get stuff on the screen while moving, several vendors do it, i have a thread on it already about unlocking Navigation while driving which also unlocks video while driving.

there is also a company that sells a program download that they email to you, you burn to disc, insert into cd drive in car and let it do it's thing...it unlocks everything via programming alone, NO HARDWARE needed....i have used it 3 or 4 times on customers cars and it really was pretty flawless, plus you make the purchase and have the email with download in a matter of minutes

video in motion means you can view video while driving. im not sure why you think its hardware that needs to be purchased.

i understand the terminology, but Video in Motion is MidCity Engineering's hardware based bypass system....just making sure people understand, because if you were to google video in motion and w204 or c-class or mercedes you will get MidCity's website

Everyone calls it VIM or video in motion, that is what it was called when you unlock the software on a BMW or MB or Audi and what a bunch of people call hardware.

I got the software unlock from bimmerguru.com for mine, you don't need hardware to unlock the video in motion, but you may need the hardware to push the video into command if you can't through the center console the way you want to.
