ABC Pump

May have burned up my pump, short story i removed both front struts so i could replace both upper control arms when i reinstalled the struts i did not have the line all the way on and when i started the car almost all of my fluid leaked out before i notice the leak i shut the car off checked the dipstick and there was about a inch and a half of fluid on it so i dont think it went completely dry , so i topped it off but now when i start the car it wont do anything and after about 10 seconds of running the red abc message comes on can some tell me how and where to check the pressure or lack of any help would be greatly appreciated.

Pump is probably OK.

Just need to bleed it properly, which is difficult. You can't just fill the reservoir. That would be too easy.

1. Pressurize the ABC reservoir with a few PSI of air, to force the oil into the pump.

2. Alternatively, remove the aux belt and spin the ABC pump pulley with your hand until it firms up.
