Two issues I've noticed on my W215
Hi folks,
I noticed two things on my W215, at highway speeds (70-80mph) I noticed I can hear wind noise coming from the driver side mirror/door/window? I know the driver side door suction technology was replaced earlier in the year.
Also when the car is cold and I start it, I can hear a whining type noise in the dashboard, the air-conditioning is not on and ABC sport, airmatic is not turned on.
Any ideas?

Whirring
Whirring is a good noise. That's just the beast waking up all the actuators.
Growling - also a good noise.
If you hear a hissing noise, that might be an issue.

So Mercedes says $800 per door to fix this. Replacing weather stripping door seal, is there a trick to making the window seat/seal to the weather stripping better? The door/window seals doesn't look worn to me.

W215 is supposed to isolate you from road noises very well. For the longest time I had no idea my brakes were squealing like a banshee, until one day I rolled a window down and realized how embarrassing that was. But if the wind is very strong, then you can still hear it. Sometimes I think I can hear a breeze whistling outside, and when I roll the windows down I realize I'm in the middle of a windstorm.
You might want to physically check to see if your window is fitting inside the rubber U-channel. I'm also assuming you know how to set your windows... front and rear. All four windows should shoot up when you close the doors.
EDIT: Also maybe check your gasket for side view mirror. Those things get torn up all the time.
