2001 CL600 speedometer displays wrong speed
Changed the stock tires to Z rated 245/45R17 as well as the size setting on comand but the speedometer is still off by +3 mph which I believe is adding unnecessary miles to the odometer. Anything else that needs to be done that I do not know. Many thanks..........

When I looked up the stock size tire for the 2001 CL600, it is a 225/55/17. A 245/45/17 will throw off the speedometer by 4.14%. You should be running a 245/50/17 if you want to run a 245 width tire.

Cars with the 18 inch rim package got 245/45/18 front and 265/40/18 rear
Cars with the amg appearance package got 245/45/18 front and 275/40/18 rear on wheels that were half an inch wider in the rear
But yes the standard base tire was puny 225

I've had two amg package cl600s now and both had 265/40 rears. When was the 275 factory?

My 2002 cl500 with amg appearance package specifies the 275 40 18
I don't know what other years used the 9.5 inch rear wheel, but amg used the 275 40 18 rear tire along with a 9.5 inch rear wheel for some years
