Front seats do not "massage/pulse", what should I check?

Hello group, both of my seats do not massage/pulsate. The indicator light comes on but nothing happens. Is there anything I should check. I am a newbie to the W215 and just bought my first CL600 2 months ago. Any advice/suggestions would be much appreciated. Thank you.

That system is extremely complicated and without the diagnostics you will be run around the maypole----find someone with DAS and they will quickly locate your faulty part-----all else, my guess is there is a beer bottle under the passenger seat!!

May I ask why you did not get the car scanned before purchase!!

I guess I will have to take it to the dealer, I don't know anyone near me with the DAS system to check it for me. The price of the car was too good to pass up, so I purchased it without scanning, but to me seats are minimal but I would like to get everything properly.

Do the other seat air powered functions work? Like lumbar and bolsters and such? It's possible you've got a PSE issue. It's possible that the bladders failed on both but less likely. The air systems in these cars are getting old and having problems as they age, but are fixable if you're willing to diagnose them properly and not just throw parts at them. Otherwise it gets very expensive very fast.

Curious to see how this turns out. The CL500 I test drove didn't have the massage seats. Wondering if that's a positive as it's one less expense...

The massage seats are a gimmick at best IMO. Even in the new 222/217 they are just ok, and the old cars are nowhere near that good.

If you want massaging seats, the 2011 A8 I had came with a terrific set of them. I do miss that car, and although the 8-speed equipped 4.2 V8 was efficient and the car handled excellent, it was much, much slower than my CL. The massage button on my CL seems to stick down and makes it very difficult to engage/disengage but it does work.

Thank you all for your comments. The seats aren't important to me at all, but since they are in the car I wanted to experience them. I am not going to spend a lot of money to get them to work, I'd rather spend the money on something else for the car, lol. Thanks again everyone.
