Lightbulb CODE OUT ABC

Hi

I am on my coil over suspension conversion

I have all things listed from ajusteble spring to sway bars
i'll post a topic when avanced

now my last issue to solve is the ABC warnings

now, strutmaster's module is
but I doubt that if I remove all ABC parts except the pump that this module we handle warnings.... strutmasters on the phone pretend it replaces the whole abc module stuff......

on the other side, as I have STAR DAS and developper mode
i thought it would be possible to code out ABC...

and I read here:
http://www.rebuildmastertech.com/mer...onversion-kit/

"15 Hours of labor and reprogramming the ABC out of the system so no warning lights come on. We can work to assist your mechanic with the installation."

so coding out ABC is possible ?

some super user and moderator here say so... but HOW HOW HOW how how (Austrian mountain's echo)

https://mbworld.org/forums/cl-class-...ion-lamps.html

if you say something like that say how please, or shut your pie*****
(I am not aggressive so don't badly comment this. we are here to find solutions, not to create rumors.....)

Okay so I'm gonna chime in like I always do for these coilover threads when comparing CL/S and SL. SL can be coded out because on the R230 they offered coilovers on the SL350 and SL65 BS. You cant do CL or S via SDS cause mercedes never offered the car with coilovers. But yes on a SL it can be coded out 100% because I did it on my SL65 and even put a walkthrough how to do it on the R230 AMG thread.

If you had an R230 this is how you would do it

https://mbworld.org/forums/sl55-amg-...r230-cars.html

I asked RMT about CL/S and coding it out if I wanted to buy a CL65 and do the yellowspeed coilovers and they said cant be done on SDS and you need some kind of module to trick the system.

so far, in setting, I was able to set my cl600 to AIRMATIC instead of ABC
interesting.. as my cl600 was never build with airmatic right ?

I did this by choosing SPECIAL VEHICULE

let's investigate more...

ABC Suspension Control Unit A 0225450832 is the same for
W220 W215 W230 R230 SL

so there must be a way to trick this
In ABC control unit, I see Version(internal) R230 lol

Its prob the something to do with the ICM then, did S/CL share same ICM and not SL?

Im curious if that Strutmaster can box works alot better on cars coded at airmatic? Isnt the box the same for there S class airmatic kits?

well, a thing I read somewhere is that if I switch to airmatic, I would only have 1 white message on every startup that I can remove with the R button

also, and this is why I do some upfront research, I called strutmasters and they said the box replaces the whole ABC module in terms of signals faking all of it.

If that is so, then it's a fabulous device. but I have a doubt
I think it only fakes the 4 sensors on the top of the abc struts or maybe those and the height/level sensors

that would mean that you have to have a perfectly working ABC system with pressure ect
which is ridiculous of course
but lets see.. one step by one

Based on the Models they listed Im thinking this module was meant for Airmatic not ABC or they would have listed SL also. GL, CLS, E were all air and S had some air models. If CL thinks its an Air car this might work. Idk if the Air and ABC wiring setup is the same to install these units or not.

agree
but don't forget, I can set the cl to airmatic
so something to try would be, if the ABC lights still give problems with the module, to set the car to airmatic + module.
