Cl500 whining
Hi,
I just drove from Glasgow to Liverpool to pick up a 2009 cl500, car is stunning and test drive etc was perfect, however after around 50 miles and in traffic i noticed a whining sound that went with revs, i stopped later for a break and when i started it again it was all good, however when i got home it was whining again, it does it in or out of gear moving or not, i will be calling the garage tomorrow but any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Hi,
Just to update, The dealer said the damper is the problem but want to replace the whole pump at £1800, Not going to happen so will replace the damper at an Indy.

Hi,
The place I bought it from asked if I could get it fixed at an Indy and would just pay the bill for me which I am more than happy to do, The dealer also said I needed 2 front suspension parts at a cost of £900, I then proceeded to tell them the car was serviced and MOT'd with no advisories at a Merc dealer 6 weeks ago, more silence followed. Only reason I got it diagnosed there was its next to my work and the indy is 50 miles away. Wont be back ever!
thanks

Hi, about to do mine. Do you have a DIY thread to help me along? I hear its quite an easy job but I always appreciate some instruction in advance from those who have gone before me. Thanks.
