There is no "lock ratio" as they are a worm gear style limited slip. This is my second time putting this style differential in a street vehicle and it is without a doubt the best type of limited slip for a street performance vehicle. Far better handling characteristics than a true locker and more consistant, more durable and better handling characteristics than a clutch type. I've had them all and still currently have a locker in my pickup and a clutch type LSD in my ****** and like I said, for a street performance car the Quaife type is the best, peroiod. For a pure drag car or off road vehicle, no, but no one uses a CL that way.

Found it for $1100 (Item# Quaife-QDF9V).. at http://store.phantasmusa.com/quaifeqdf9v.html

I called them today but they are out of stock and said they will have it back in stock in early March.

For those who have it now, can it do burn outs like this?

You have a different part number listed compared to what I used. The part number of mine is "qdf29b". Be careful since some suppliers list it as the same part as similar models and it probably won't fit. I would check with quaife directly so you don't have issues opening it up and not having the correct part in hand.

Burnouts like that are a breeze with a LSD in a CL.

Glad to hear, and yes the 30 mph burnouts into great acceleration is my favorite. Just remember it can get sideways a lot easier with the LSD adding to the fun.

Buick T-Type, 70 cuda, S65 and a very FAST Truck!
The QDF9V is for the 55 series cars. There was lots of confusion with that number early on because several of the catalogs said they fit the 65 series rear ends but they don't. The other number listed is the correct one.

The vendor may really think he is selling you the correct part if he is referencing an older catalog. Unfortunately it is incorrect.
