Clk (w208) Grill Photos
As indicated in a previous posting here are photos of my CLK (W208) fitted with CL Style grill, and AMG flat hood badge. Both of these items were purchased from a German company (www.verimexx.de) at a very reasonable price. The quality of these items is good, and fitment took only 15minutes (being careful).
CLK 230K Avantgarde, Tiptronic, Alpaca Grey Leather, Heated Seats, Rain Sensing Wiper, 6 Disc CD, Xenon Lights with Power Wash, 17" AMG Wheels.

Grill Query
189 Euro is approximately 217 USD. It comes as a heat staked assembly and the parts are made from Moulded ABS with a high gloss black finish. They can paint it any colour for 40 Euros (approx. 46 USD). Shipping from Germany to the Uk was 25 Euro (approx. 29 USD), but they will ship anywhere I believe, if you email them first. Standard Mercedes flat hood badge costs 15 Euro (approx. 17 USD) and the AMG version costs 25 Euro. They also sell these on Ebay Germany (or did), so worth having a look there first because I saved 39 Euro (approx. 45 USD) doing this. Hope this helps.

I agree, If I wanted a CL style front grill I would have bought a CL.
Too wannabe for my taste.

To be honest, I'm not a big fan of chrome, so the original grill was the only (small) compromise I had to make when purchasing the car. When I stumbled across this grill on Ebay, and saw how much it cost, I couldn't resist. Here's a side photo...

Thanks for the pics. So ya happy with it? I like it but I think a silver one would look better for my silver 430...
Why did you use Verimexx vs. Autoblz? That may be a stupid question but I have to ask.

Autoblz has had some seeerious customer service issues recently, nearly got flamed to death on benzworld about shipping and contact with customers. I've never used them tho, so its just hearsay.

Like I said, I stumbled across the grill by chance on Ebay, and after realising that it was a company who was selling them, and that I was saving almost 40 Euros, couldn't resist. The fact that I was buying through Ebay also gave me security. If anything had gone wrong, then I would have got my money back (except for the shipping costs of course). They were getting good feedback from other customers, and I see that they have sold about 40 items since I purchased my grill only 3 or so weeks ago.

Hey pat420.
That looks like the Rieger front lip, am I right?
I have one that I haven't installed yet and I was wondering how hard it was to install? ( If you did the install yourself)
Thanks in advance
George

The Rieger kit was installed for me for $150. Yeah I probably wouldn't install it myself unless you feel very confident that the lip won't fall off. I found out about the grill thru the "other" forum. Original price is $250 plus shipping I think but autoblz is giving all of the forum members over there a discount so it came to $226.25 shipped and painted OEM black. I'm not sure how long that sale will last though.
