I'll upload a copy of my registration papers in my profile. I've blanked out my name/address and part of the engine and VIN number for security. It does clearly identify that it's a CLK55 and W208 series. I hope this gets me over the line.
Cheers

Not Heard of the newer clk's being hotwired in fact i dont know of any model merc being hotwired,(unless there are ones that use a normal key for the ignition as opposed to the smartkey), Do they use diffrent technology than the old ones then ?

Even if you gain access to interior and alarm is sounding, it won't allow the trunk to be opened. BUT, there is a very easy way to disable central locking and get the trunk to pop. I didn't get the PM, but im not sure if we're talking about the same method or not..???

I sent a PM. Don't post much but been a member for a while. I've been trying to work on the top opening issue and in all the work the trunk has locked me out.

Please send PM. I've got a cabriolet, so I'm guessing that it may not work, but I'd like to try since I've only got one key.... Thanks... Paul

I've got the back seat out and the Bose Sub out so I can access the trunk through the sub hole. Is there a release button I can push inside the trunk to open it?

Good afternoon,
My neighbour managed to lock his only set of keys in his boot this morning as he only used the button to pop the boot wich doesn't unlock the car then shut the boot with the keys still in there.
Within 5 mins or less we gained access to his car wich gave us access to his boot wich gave us access to his keys.
Would it be irresponsible for me to tell you guys how easy it is ? The only reason i ask is i would like to give something back to this community so if you dont mind i would like to tell you how we did it or should i just keep it to myslef.
forums admin....Please let me know if it's ok to post the details (I dont want to get banned from this forum as it is a goldmine when it comes to knowledge)

pls pm me
I locked my keys in the trunk once and mercedes charged me 180.00 to open it and reset everything after the alarm went off. They used a laptop.
I do not want to ever go through that again so please pm me with the instructions. I have a 2003 e class

Re only set of keys locked in the boot
Hi Its been a while, this thread was posted but i was hopin you could also send me the instructions
if still available
i own a 1999 CLK 230, and last week, i had the pleasure of locking my car keys in the boot
i bought the car a little over a year now and was given to me with only one set of keys,i have been
lucky not to have lost it or gotten locked out till now.
i still want to hold out before eventually having to fork out £250ish! to MB for a spare
so id appreciate your instructions, for knowledge sake, and incase im clumsy again infuture
once i had the mishap i had to dig and listen to all sort of ways out, ive even heard theres
a possiblity of using another fob over the phone to open the car should, i be locked out
again in future are your instructions along those lines?
oh, i had to register to AA, and various merc forums (not bad i guess its investment for the future problems)
they eventually spent about an hour fishing the keys out of the first aid box!!!!
at least i got all the previous owners sweets, toys cars, and other rubbish that were stuck under the back seat out
as a bonus in the process.. cheers

If not too late, please send it to me too... This already happened to me twice, locked with the key inside. I get inside the car via trunk, but my car is bullet proof (armored) so it's not exactly easy to do.

Hey, fellow rag top owners, put on your thinking caps. All you have to do to get into the trunk is...just open your top half way, and you can reach into the trunk.
