Offset/Wheel size questions, Help!
I was hoping someone could help me understand offset better, I just bought wheels and tires, 19in wheels, were on a s500, rear 19x9.5 with 275/35/19 with an offset of 30. Front are 19x8.5 with 225/45/19 and offset may be 35, there are no markings other than a faint "35". Rear rub when up on the jack but when I put it down it didnt seem to have a problem but I could not drive due to lugs being too long. The rub when I mounted it was on the inside and even the current 225s nearly rub on the inside when jacked up with wheel hanging down. I know I will need shorter lugs, but should I get spacers? I have about a 10mm gap with my lugs so I ordered 10mm spacers to test fit. Ive searched and cant find what will and will not fit my car. 2000 CLK 430 Cabrio. It seems many are running wheels this big without issue. Help please!

I run 275/35/19 et 35 on the rear with a 10mm spacer and it fits perfectly. Theres a slight rub if my car is heavily loaded and I dont see a huge bump. However my car is also lowered quite a bit. I think the main thing you need to think about when fitting wheels as large as you have is your suspension set up. Are you on stock suspension?
As for your front tires, you should go with at maximum 35 aspect ratio. (225/35/19)

Thanks man!! I am on stock suspension and dont plan on lowering for another year. I just was afraid of the inside rubbing but if you dont have problems I dont think i'll have issues. Do you think my 225/45/19 on the front will rub at stock height? They are stretched so they have a decent angle to them.

Your fronts should be fine with a good stretch. I honestly dont know if the rears will rub or not with stock suspension. As long as your shocks arent blown or anything you should be good

This chart really helps you know what offset and tire size you will need for the different sized wheels. Scroll down to the CLK section.
