W209, E46 M3 (dead), S54 swapped E46 Touring
TX to WA W209
Hi, i figured i would make my own thread and quit blowing up the pic threads with pictures of my car. It's a 2004 CLK500 and i've owned it for over 4 years now. It's been my daily driver so i've done some small things to it like interior lights, headlights, tinted tails (ordering new avante garde) but i've also had other cars and purchasing my home that have kept me from really messing with this one.
2 years ago i ordered a set of Work Brombacher wheels for the car from Tuan @ ASpec in burning black. I had a tough time figuring out what sizes to order since i really didn't want to go with the conservative oem sizes. After a few emails with Work Japan i was set and ordered them in 19x9+21 front because i would need a +15mm spacer to clear the calipers. The rears were ordered in 19x10-0 keeping it at a nice 19x9+6 f 19x10-0. I did test fit about a year and a half ago but i lost the pics and just haven't mounted them since. I got really into my E46 M3 and now E46 S54 touring project due to a girl on her cell totaling my M. I also recently relocated from Texas to Washington and with my touring in the shop undergoing the M swap i figured i now had enough time to start giving this car some more attention.
I was able to pick up some H&R coilovers to replace the H&R springs. I also ordered some ST181 wheels in a squared 19x9.5 setup from Ray at Sonic Tuning. A great guy to deal with if anyone is looking for a nice set of fairly inexpensive wheels. I always liked the look of the OEM squared 19x9.5 all around since i was running the same on my M3. The concavity of the rear to match the front was the look i was going for even though i was told i would have a hard time fitting the front. I just had some rolling shots taken this weekend by a friend and am finally happy with the look of the car as my daily setup after having the same look for 4 years. I've thought about getting crazy with this car as i am with my touring but time will tell.
Next items on the list are a set of BC coilovers and Umbrella/VRH air cups and installing the Work wheels, ordering new taillights and maybe some interior stuff. Once my other car is done i will see if i want to get serious with this one or maybe move on to something else in the MB family.
How the car was for the first 4 years
I ordered these in Feb 2011
Winter (daily) wheels and the Summer wheels
The other cars that have been taking up my time
The daily wheels. Added some 90mm studs and the final fitment is
19x9.5+20 f 19x9.5+5 r.
The car as of now. Thanks to my buddy Cullen Cheung for the pics.

Nice, I had no idea you owned it for over 4years now. God those wheels are aggressive! Makes me want to put a spacer in my stance now.
Was planning on doing some tail light tinting (or replacing), can you tell me your experiences with darkening yours? Sweet ride as always, thanks for the new shots.

Nice. I'm really considering selling my 350 n getting a 550 or 55.. thinking convertible? Ray is an awesome guy and I owe him a photoshoot! Some dick baked up into my car and fi just got it fixed. I have like 2, 3 mods but thibking about holding on until I make up my mind on a car. Regarding your hr coils, would they fit spock wheels or is a space required? Also, how is the ride quality and why bc coils?

I was told BC did not make coilovers for W209. I pointed out that they do make them for W203 though. They said I was on my own if they didn't fit my car.

I contacted them about a possible sponsorship, where i would confirm the fit of their coils on my car... No answer, what a shame.
