Dipped Beam Left Malfunction
Hello everyone,
I drive a 2005 CLK 320 Coupe (german spec) with the Bi-Xenon option.
I am having a problem with the left-side xenon beam where sometimes it doesn't work. This happens right from the get go sometimes and sometimes I lose the light as I am driving.
The way to fix it is to disconnect the xenon module cable from the bulb, reconnect it, then switch the lights on.
When I fixed it the first time, I thought it was a loose connection because of road bumps or something but the problem keeps coming back yet the connection is solid.
What am I missing and what can be done? Is this common? Is it a SAM problem? Should I connect STAR when the light stops working and see what error codes I get or is it much simpler than that?
Please let me know.
Thank you,

I made some progress. It's something to do with a loose connection. I added a foam chunk as a pad to the circular dust cover and the light started working fine.
I'll test it for a day or two and make sure it's a final solution.
