wheel advice rim setup

hopefully one of the wheel gurus can chime in I'm looking for an aggressive rim setup and want to know the right offsets that i need to use and I plan on lowering my car on coilovers. I might decide to use a "square" setup and wanted to also know if i can do 18x8.5 all around or 18x9.5 all around? front and rear hope i didn't confuse anyone lol

You can install any rim you want as long as the offsets are close, i.e, low to mid 30's. The car suspension, however, is designed to perform best with a 1" greater width in the rear.

Alright thanks can you elaborate on the 1" greater width in the rear ? Are u saying it's better to run a staggered setup then a "square" setup ?

None for now
RWD cars should run a staggered setup. Unless you're in winter mode, you should always have a staggered setup.

The wider rear wheels facilitate greater overall traction and handling and greatly improves the same when driving a bit more aggressively and when taking curves (on the track or on public roads at slightly more than the posted speed)...

Another way of looking at it is, a staggered setup best handles the weigh distribution of the car. It went into the design of the car. It will operate just fine with the same size wheels all around, if you don't "exercise" the capabilities of the car..... that to, probably went into the design.
