I know many Cars have the 722.6 transmission. I am wondering do all these 722.6 have the TCU reset feature (the 2 minutes procedure)?

That procedure has nothing to do with the transmission. It simply re-calibrates the electronic accelerator pedal to the throttle position sensor.

My understanding is this TCU reset will erase the adaptive learning of the TCU which impacts the shift points. Is this wrong?

I am talking about the preocedure to put key to "2" position, step full throttle to the gas panel for 5 seconds, put key of "Off" and wait for 2 minutes.

That procedure you describe does not reset the TCU - it simply recalibrates the "drive-by-wire" throttle. This may make the shift points seem different because the accelerator pedal may be in a different position relative to the throttle.

Thanks for the clarification. I have been doing this for years and totally misunderstood its purpose.

Is there any way to erase the adaptive learning of the TCU?

SDS can clear the transmission adaptations. But it will take about 500 miles of driving for it to go back to "your" habits. SDS also have some other capabilities that allow the tech to program certain shift points, but most won't do this as it requires two tech - one to drive, the other to make the code changes on the computer.
