Control arm replacement ?

I recently replaced the passenger side upper and lower control arms. After couple weeks now, I've noticed some creeking when turning the steering wheel. The other day parallel parking, with the car parked I turn wheel completely right and can feel the right side go up, then back down when turning the wheel back left. I made sure to raise the wheel hub to compress the spring before tightening. Anyone figure out why this is happening.

NO LONGER ACTIVE
The wheels do tilt as they turn, so that up/down feeling is normal. I'd check the anti-sway bar bushings.

would the sway bar bushing make a creaking noise when turning the wheel completely?

Because moving the steering side to side also causes the sway bar to flex, and when it flexes it moves its two bushings. There is really nothing that can creak in a properly installed control arm. But sway bar bushings can and do creak a lot because you are moving dry rubber against a dry aluminum clamp. Takes 10 minutes to lube them. I posted a DIY on it.

And I would amend my own DIY in one respect. I have discovered that the creaking is not only caused by lack of lube, but by the fact that the rubber polishes the aluminum clamps. Take some fine sandpaper - 320 or 400 grit - and scuff them just a bit.

Thank you for this! My '06 sounds creaks when I get in and out, when I go over a speed bump, when I turn the wheel, just about everything. I have to go find some grease. I think it is front and rear creaking

The rear sway bar bushings are different. They are coated in a cloth coating and are unlikely to creak.

I hear the creak a lot from the rear. Any thoughts about the cause from there?

None for now
I head a lot of creaks from the front of my car when heavily braking and backing out/turning at slow speeds.
