If you have MHI port in the armrest compartment (see photo below), then yes, that will do it. However, this was a very rare option (due to cost). Most all W209's came with an option called "pre-wiring", but that's literally just he wiring harness and no all the "parts" needed to enable the phone interface. Those parts are about $1,000 + labor to install. Then you can plug in that puck and get Bluetooth.

Thanks Rodney, I do not have the MHI port in the glove box. I do have an AUX Jack in the glove box so I will have to go with something like this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/131597606356?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

At least it gives me Bluetooth but no steering wheel controls

The MHI will be in the armrest compartment - not the glove compartment. But it's still unlikely that you have it.

Since you have a MY2005 that is post-facelift, there are some options. One is the mCar unit (www.mcar.us). I am not sure if they are still available, but it replaces the CDC and emulates it for iPod or USB music and also offers integrates BT handsfree and streaming. I have it and I'm fairly well satisfied. BT handsfree quality is not the best, but acceptable.

It looks as though my 2009 clk mh1 port is located on the back of armrest compartment not on bottom. Does this require a different adapter then I see everywhere?

Your best bet is to get into it and look at the part and take a photo of it. That is the only real way to tell.

Thank you for your reply Timewarpone, The connection is located on the of the box, near the top. All the online photos show the adapter on the bottom of the box. I am concerned that it could be to long as no were do I see dimensions. Hope I am successful dnld photo, never sure.
Thanks, Jerry

This is the bluetooth adapter you need. But before buying it give them your Make Model & VIN and see if the feature is enabled on your vehicle

https://www.ebay.com/itm/23143258320...EAAOSwwTlUnMhw

https://www.ebay.com/itm/25500777157...QAAOSwZ0lgvRk9

https://www.ebay.com/itm/33380570249...4AAOSwezFgc-rg

I suggest looking first at these 3 auctions closely

There are many others on Ebay. Don't go through the dealer unless you really have to.

Thanks once again,

I have visited all of these on ebay but show it mounted anywhere but on the bottom. No dimensions, which would help. There are a couple that appear smaller and have a different look, color and shape. Sellers on ebay do not offer much dependable info. So I will take some of their info to MB. Hope to have an answer and that I will post here for others.

According to your photo the device will certainly fit. It slips on inside the arm rest. You just need the one for your vehicle. What year is your CLK350? Is it a convertible? Remember it will not play music from your phone assuming you have the OEM head unit it will only let you answer incoming calls. I ending up changing my head unit for a Kenwood DNR476S. https://www.crutchfield.com/p_113DNR....html?tp=20222

Thanks once more,
I have a 2009 cab with "comand" w/single disc player. There is a changer not connected and an aux port that has been replaced with a multi pin connector. I have only had the car about three weeks. Once I have title in hand I will take it to an audio shop to see about the last two and maybe the phone. Not an automobile do it yourself person. I will also run it by MB dealer here in LV.
I really appreciate your taking the time to provide me with your input.
Thank you,
Jerry

What is the multi-pin connector you have in the glove box? Is it for iPhone/iPod connections? If so, you can connect a Viseeo Tune2Air to that and get BT streaming. I have that in my '11 ML and it works great.

How did you fit that in your car? Do you have a picture of your dash after you've fit the new headunit? Does it work with the steering wheel controls and everything also?

I did the complete install myself. There is no adapter for steering wheel controls. iDatalink Maestro does not work with my vehicle. I searched high and low for months so I bought the hand held remote to control the head unit while driving. This Kenwood head unit is fully loaded. I bought it from Crutchfield including the dash mounting kit. https://www.crutchfield.com/p_120998...t.html?tp=3121 It even has back up camera capabilities which I installed and even has satellite radio capability. To many features to tell you about. Look at this link: https://www.crutchfield.com/p_113DNR....html?tp=20222
