2005 CLK55 ~45,000mi
Driver side keyless go wasn't locking/unlocking. Replaced the door handle (~$130) and noticed the wires had worn through.

Replaced the Crank Position Sensor after a P0335 error.

Not really mechanical and didn't need to be done, but made a big difference:
Replaced the fans in the ventilated seats with higher flow models. Actually cools you off a little bit now.

1. Motor Mounts (out of warranty)
2. Front suspension bushings (warranty)
3. CPS Crank Pos Sensor (DIY)
4. Cam Pos Sensor
5. MAS (DIY - K&N's nuked it.... self induced)
6. Psg Side mirror leds quit working.... plug came loose.
7. CD changer randomly quits with a loud SCREECH/CHIRP sound.
8. Drivers seat belt "button" fell off..... new one from fleabay.

Valeo radiator? I thought it's only in the 2003 CLK55... but I may be wrong, though.

2001 W208 CLK55, 70017 miles (bought at 66500). Weird electrical short in amp after car wash - fixed a missing trunk grommet, hopefully that's fixed now, otherwise solid ride! (knock on birdseye maple).

Owned from new, 7.655 miles as of a.m. Only issue has been the gas gauge failing; firmware reflash solved the problem. Gonna be for sale shortly.

Update on mine since I can't seem the edit the post.
~51,000mi
Driver-side HID balast died which required me to pull the bumper. Found a used replacement part from a C-Class on ebay for $100 to fix it.

Tranny seems to have a tiny leak around the electrical connector I need to fix.

2003 CLK55 - 54K miles

- fuel pump died at about 30K miles (after warranty expired of course)
- replaced both headrest motors because they wouldn't go up or down

Nothing else major besides that. Very reliable car. (knock on wood)

Oh another "common issue" that I still havent fixed it the seat belt. Sometimes I will get out of my car, close the door and it'll bang on the buckle because it's loose and obviously the door won't close. Apparently it's the retracting systems that fails and its a pain in the ass to fix because the whole panel needs to be taken apart.

Who has come across this issue??

NZ,
read somewhere they wanted you guys to buy the black series, does not make sense to me as the clk63 amg is such a good car, you can fit four adults, plenty of luggage space and it moves !!

2004 CLK55, 81K miles. Radio replaced after it died completely in 2006, Valeo radiator took the transmission with it in 2006 at around 30K miles (all covered under warranty), crank sensor last fall. Otherwise, no major issues!
