Did they forget to give me one at the factory?
Guys, I have been trying to chase down the source of a bad bulb light message. I found it, I think, the passenger side inner tail light. Normally it would pop on when you turn on the fog light with full rear tails on. I pulled the cover off the underside of the trunk lid so I could get the old bulb and buy a replacement. Imagine my surprise when I saw two inner tail bulbs on the drivers side but only one on the passenger side. There is a slot for a second one but it still has the factory punch out in place over the opening. Easy to punch through but I wasn't sure if this was normal or if I need to get both a new bulb for the upper position and a new bulb and housing for the other.

There is only one rear fog light (drivers side) ..see manual. It's apparently for when you're parked on the side of a road and is ued to mark the proximity of the vehicle

You said that error comes on when you activate rear fog light....since that is when it comes on, the culprit is the driver side for bulb.
I assume that the error does not come on when you have just the main lights on??

Actually no and perhaps my bad for not explaining it well. The check lamp error message comes on as soon as I turn on the main lights. I have checked headlights, high and low, no probs, tail lights, good, brake lights both tail and thee third one on the trunk, all good. Plate lights, nice and bright. This just left the fogs. Front fogs, fine, rear fog tail lights, the inner tails mounted on the trunk. Drivers side fine, passenger side, dark. That's when I noticed that I had two driver's side inner tail bulbs and just one on the passenger side. Hope that makes more sense. BTW I just went to autozone to get a replacement bulb but no one can read the number. Anyone know the part number for this bulb? Thanks.
