I might be mistaken about a right hand drive fitting, The collectors are angled properly but there might some clearance problems with the chassis.
there is an indent for the driver side header that is obviously for clearance.
Eurocharged W208/W209 indent
The Collectors are favorable 50mm with a machined (ground finish) for flow.
Eurogharged Collector
Primaries are flow ground not polished as well.
Eurocharged Primary tubes
Another photo of the nasty indents for the Drivers of left hand vehicles.
Drivers overall finish
Hope this helps a few, I am not going to dyno. I found all I need to know by measuring the tubes. I never drag this car professionally and not trying follow Blackbenz but it would be nice. Road course racing, Autocross, and a daily driver. Pro Stock 10.0 second Benz is rare in the car park at work isn't it.
I plan on the install in the fall when it is cooler in Florida with a 0-60 comparison with my OBD2 software, 2/3 both cases best.
Cheers, Gator
Chadzu - New down pipes required. I have one half plugged cat and the gains are going to be phenomenal for me maybe less for others.

I am not saying it will fit but possible pending apron and steering box clearance on the passenger side.
drivers is compromised
This is an internal of the collector, it is rough but a difficult area to mend.
collector internal
Happy Header Hunting, Gator

Ooo that's not pretty, what a shame the rest of the welds etc look good on the outside. Did they back purge the inside ones? Probably hard to tell. Sorry guys thats a deal breaker for me. Thank you so much for the pictures. Maybe you can get a dremel in there to tidy up.

The welds observed in the collector photo are rough but not used for sealing.
They appear to be utilized for fillet or gusset, strengthening. Required for maintaing alignment and support the sealed welds.
One could get overwhelmed and polish the internals of the slag but I doubt any extra flow will be notable. If anything is gained here it will be future crack displacement.
This header should fit any W209 most of my reference for clearances on steering gearbox were meant for the W208 folks.

They have to be airtight (which I don't doubt they are) but the main thing is the smooth exhaust transition. Minimizing eddies and air turbulence. Yes you are looking at small hp losses but every bit counts. They made their own merge which is much cheaper in materials but a lot more difficult unless you are a pro header manufacturer. The four pipes are pushed in and the gaps filled with weld.
This is the best way to do it and the collectors are available off the shelf in different sizes even for compact shortie applications like this. Ensures smoothest flow and best chance of ideal scavenging.

tw2, Thanks for the added input on construction criteria.
I understand flow and horsepower quite well with an extensive background in building some nice cars circle track and drag. I will admit that a clean up could be performed in the collector area for slag and flow it would probably take a good hour for each pending tooling.
I haven't run across a quality set of headers yet for the W208 under 1K but to each there own. I believe they are a great street performance product with out having to tune. We will see in the coming months.

I know what you mean. Being right hand drive there are very few options available. I will have to save for some custom longtubes. Kleeman also don't use proper collector in their midlengths.

I didn't think they did them for right hand drive? Unfortunately it will be much cheaper to have them made locally and there is a shop here who do exceptional work with a lifetime warranty. Exchange rate + international shipping + customs usually means double the price.

Agreed The W209 is more user friendly in the header dept.
Just ordered O2 bungs and collector flanges, Found a custom pipe fitter who hates cats local.
I should be tied in by the end of October.
2precise has a complete true custom dual exhaust system with Kleemans for the W208. If I were local it would have been sold.,but the price (worth it) and shipping, I could visit a custom x renntech builder on the east Fl coast for long tubes.
Cheers

Hi Folks,
I have a bit of sad news for the W208 people interested in buying these headers.
Removed my airbox today for KnN filter service and decided to take a closer look at the drivers side exhaust manifold. By nature it curls up and over the steering gearbox for fitment.
The collector on the Eurocharged header points downward and out twoards the inner apron. It appears to dump right on top of the gearbox. Port 4 is the location of the collector and the gearbox. Here is a few photos.
these are underside of gearbox and port 4
difficult to see but the gearbox shield is on the right
I have some more coming

These are ebay header and eurocharged on top. the collector is right over port 4 looking up at us.
I wanted true exhaust improvement over stock. The Ebay header came from a friend but is flawed with collector outlet diameter restricting flow. It will require machining to open up the flange.
The collector pipe is larger on the ebay and there is enough flange material to match the pipe diameter which will be greater than stock manifolds, but not a true header like we are after.. I was trying to avoid these but it looks more promising than the eurocharged at this point.
Unless they supply the proper collector flange.
I will be contacting them soon, install was scheduled in November as time off permits.
Might hold in place of manifold just for clarity but I don't feel comfortable at all with fitment on the W208 Chassis.
All the Best, Gator

Thank you for sharing. This is disappointing but not at all surprising. Hopefully you'll get refunded promptly.

Nothing yet for performance,
I am having the Ebay headers flanges ID increased to 2.25" or 2.5" and planning a week off in early November for a Header Install. Eurocharged or ebay regardless.
Contacted Eurocharged in good faith and awaiting a return image or collector construction ideas but prior to purchase there was a bit of skepticism about fitment on W208.
Eurocharged Sales stated a full refund would be provided if the product does not fit.

Is it possible that this erurocharged header are the same as what was recently being developed here?

The link wouldn't paste in but start on post 43. Dyno chart on post 56. Apparently Eurocharged was involved in these as well.
If so, the dyno charts are showing limited gains even with the OP's tuning issues, but not what is claimed with the larger investment in a full tube set.

Hi Folks,
Had the E-Bay headers collectors machined for a maximum ID of 2.25" now I feel like I am getting somewhere.
Eurocharged on Left and Ebay on the right, I have some d-burring to do. One or the other are going in permanently 1st week of November.
The SLK had a different collector but the photo is identical in the Eurocharged post from Lioninstreet.. You can study the outlet types on ebay for compatible fit.
I am going to investigate the possibility of re-clocking the Eurocharged collector if it fits without interference.
Best, Gator
