Throttle/Transmission Issue

Hello,

I have an issue with the button at the bottom of the pedal. The button that if you floor it you push. Whenever I push this while flooring it, I lose all throttle response. If I pull over, I can get a little delayed response after putting it in park, then back in drive. If I turn the car off and back on, it works fine. Works fine again until I floor it.

Does anyone know anything about this?

Thanks,
Daryl

Sounds like symptoms of a MAF (mass air flow) sensor going bad. Get it scanned.

Other sensors will give this symptom as well.

Stored codes are guidelines for testing not parts replacement.

Cheers

Its the throttle position sensor. I had this same problem. Easy fix and cheap.

Anyone consider it could be the kickdown button itself?

That is what I thought it might be. Gonna take another look at it this weekend, my buddy has a W208 so I might try putting his throttle position sensor in and see if it fixes it.

Sounds like the gas pedal assembly. Check that out as well
