[HG Motorsports] CLK63 Black Series Lowering Springs Interest?
We have seen some interest in lowering the CLK 63 Black Series and are considering releasing a set of lowering springs for people who want to keep the stock car's ride and handling but want a cost-effective way to sit lower. If you are interested in shorter springs for the stock coilovers, post here and we'll keep you updated on our progress! Please also send your preferred method of contact (phone number, email, message in a bottle) and your name so we can stay in touch with you.
We would need to see a good amount of interest in order for a production run to be feasible at a reasonable price but this is something we have been interested in for quite a while.

Count the Weekend Warrior in
When I lowered my first new CLK Black in 2009 the ride went away.
Looked great but road stiff. We even experienced spring bind. EvoSport sent a set of their lowering springs and they worked out great. In fact the ride was better than stock. Now they are gone & HG will have to come up with the right spring. The Warrior came lowered from Renntech but when HG added all the derlin bushings the stiffness increased too much for the street. The right lowering springs are needed again. Along with their new adjustable control arms I want the first set in the Warrior.
Several guys over the years put stiffer springs in the Black which didn't produce better track times. They were chasing handling problems which springs don't correct. Adjustable rear suspension with negative camber, 100% locking diff. & derlin bushings is the answer to much better handling.
With the new adjustable rear control arms the Warrior is insane. It corners so fast now you have to track it to see exactly what it can do. It sticks like its glued to the road in the rear and finally matches the grip in front for a neutral car even with all that torque. The key is the contact patch.

AMG has lowering springs for the CLK55
Apprx. .8 drop
I think that they had shorter springs for
the CLK B.S. race / pace cars but they were rare
and very hard to come by
Came across something about this maybe 5 years ago
Any order would go thru Germany
If this is incorrect please post
Thank-You

I'm also still interested in these shorter springs. How many people are needed for a group buy? HG Motorsports, please let us know if you have any updates.
