2010 Mercedez Benz R 350 BLUETEC V6-3.0L DSL Turbo
I am hoping I could get insight to assist my father. This is our first Mercedes and we bought the car used. Worked perfectly but now we have several assumptions and have been investing a lot and want to make the right decisions.
We are losing 1-2 qts of oil every 500 miles on average (consistently 2 qts 1k miles).
We have been encountering a mass amount of loss of power and think it is related to the DPF filter and had it cleaned by a third party company and put it back on. The car was taken to a shop and the computer reset. It is still having loss of power.
Any insight would be highly appreciative
I placed the thread in the proper location being => Mercedes-Benz SUVs, Trucks, Vans, Diesels, Other => R-Class (W251)

Out Of Control!!
Describe the "loss of power"?
Constant, or intermittent?
If intermittent, seems to be related to;
Long drives?
Cold weather?
Wet weather?
Other?
Do you get any Check Engine lights?
Does it drip any oil?
Do you have an MB dealer or trusted Indy shop with proper diagnostic system?
