Code P22A1; R350 BlueTEC
My check engine light came on. My code reader gave me a code P22A1. I cannot find much information on it. It is not listed under Mercedes-Benz codes that I have found. My code reader indicates that it is related to the nitrogen oxide sensor. Any thoughts?

Change your NOX sensor and live long and prosper----A question there is a scammer on one of the auto dating sites advising folks to purchase(group) a Polish scanner---did you purchase one of those scanners??

My mechanic says that it is not that simple. He says that it is a difficult problem to diagnose, meaning that it might not only be the sensor.

I am currently in for about $2,000 in repairs related to this NOx sensor. Apparently, there is still no guarantee that it will fix the problem.

It's not that simple because you and your mechanic have inferior diagnostic equipment---find someone who has DAS Xentry or equal and you will solve your problem!!

No it is not that simple.
Bare in mind Yoni, that you are taking the advice from "specialist" who says his 300 diesel does not have wastegate.
Have no idea where you could put the $2000 but it looks pretty simple on video.

I got my baby back. She had her NOx sensors replaced and camshaft position sensor replaced. Unfortunately, it looks like the timing chain and tensioners will need to be replaced in the near future.
