Picked up a 2014 E550C myself!
Hey everyone! Just took her home on Monday, and have been loving it! I am coming from a 2010 E350 Sedan (which I would like to keep if the wife will allow it haha), and it's familiar in some ways, but oh so not familiar in so many good ways. This car is a great looking car, and with the right shoes and right lowering, it can look even more stunning.
Link to pics in a thread in W212 where I still do my lurking: Pics
I think the wheels will go back to the W212, and I'll go with something else for the Coupe. I haven't had much luck in searching for pics of the 2014 lowered with wheels though. The info around here seems to be for the 2010-2013 coupes, which I *assume* is the same for the 2014?
I'm not a mod crazy person, but I am curious what is out there aftermarket-wise for the car. Anyone?

Ordered the H&R sport springs for the car. Looking at a lot of different wheels. In my opinion, 20s look a little big. So I'll probably stick with 19s. Just hoping what I choose fits.

The springs should be in on Friday. If time permits, I'll put them on this weekend. Will of course post pics when I get it done.
I will probably throw the OEM AMG wheels back on as well until I get some aftermarket wheels. Putting the Mandrus back on the E3350 Sedan

So after we installed springs on my brothers TL, we moved on to my car. Except we didn't know what to do with the diamond shaped cover on the top of the strut. Anyone know? It looked like we would need a special tool for it.

This is what I didn't know how to remove. it looks like you just pinch the tabs on the side, but I don't. It wouldn't come off.

SD...you plan on getting a clear bra for yours? As soon as mine arrives I plan to do Xpel Ultimate on the hood, fenders, mirrors, front end, door edges and top of the rear bumper. I am also planning on getting the headlights done but am a little contracend the film will interfier with the intellegent light system. i will have to use the most clear and thin film they have for those I think.

Anyway, I finally got the H&R springs on the car. I love it, and will post pics soon, but it won't be until next week as I'm going out of town tomorrow. It is MUCH better as far as stance goes, but it is not for everyone. It's pretty low (sport springs), and I think even with settling it might even get close to tucking the stock AMG wheels that come on the car.
So once I clean her and get some pictures, I'll post em for you guys.

Here she is after the drop. As you can see, the rear is a bit lower than the front. The ride...still awesome on comfort.
The E350 (W212) is in the back there.

My opinions are, few colors look at good as black when it's clean, but that's the thing. It has to be kept clean. The downside to black is also that it hides lines. So the beautiful lines of a car can sometimes be hidden or less obvious with black. Lastly, sometimes a car looks extra nice when things like the grill contrast with the body's styling. I think the E benefits from the contrast.
For example, the enlarged lower front grill of the E550 looks especially mean when the body is NOT black. On the other end, we had an Acura TL where we wanted the front beak/shield to blend in more with the car so we chose silver paint.
Ultimately, I'd chose the color you first thought about. Worst case, you can always plasti-dip or vinyl wrap your car if you want a different color.

Performed the resonator delete on the car (only one, not the secondary bulbs). Very happy with the results. From a cold start, it's pretty loud. Opening the throttle, it's fairly loud. Once you are at a cruising speed and let off the gas, it's relatively quiet. It's so nice, I turn off the ECO mode just so I can hear it at idle. I'll try and get a nice vid here over the next day or two. I'll see if I can't get it on a cold start and also after the car is warmed up.
Paid $140 to get it done.

Thanks guys/gals. Unfortunately, this afternoon, I left work to find someone backed into my back bumper Fortunately, the gentleman had a sense of responsibility and left his contact info.
So I wish I could take advantage and get an aftermarket rear, but...I don't think they exist for my car yet. So, looks like unless I find one soon, I'll just be getting the same rear bumper.

IMO the front needs to be lowered a bit more to give a nicer stance. However, the lowering overall beats Oem height anytime. Car is looking really sharp.

Completely agree. The front has settled nicely since initially putting the springs on. I'll take new pictures once my bumper gets replaced, and I get some wheels on it.
