ISO body kit for A 207

Gents:
I have a '12 E550 Cabrio and I want to put a four piece body kit on her to make her look more aggressive! I want a front spoiler, a diffuser and a side skirt (maybe)
I want fiber glass so I can paint it to match the body.
Who do u guys recommend?
Names and Pictures would be appreciated.
Thank you.

Prior design is a well-known one:

here's a knock off one I think?

PD also has a wide body version of their kit, but you mentioned 4 piece.

Revosport has stuff: http://www.revozport.com/w207/

MEC has one as well: http://www.mecdesign.de/w207-e-class-coupe-cabrio/ - edit: sorry, this is a widebody kit.

These are the ones off the top of my head. Lorinser and Piecha come to mind too.

Polyurethane of some sort. You basically have that and fiberglass. Fiberglass doesn't flex much, cracks, etc. Polyurethane flexes so it's easier to work with for body shops, and doesn't crack. In smaller areas it can though. While painting, they have to add a flexing additive or something I think. So you run more risk of spidering and things like that in the paint.

Fiberglass can be repaired and altered.

The PD kit runs...4-5K I think? Then you have to consider installation with is mounting, any modifications/adjustments needed to fit, and painting.

It seems like most kits I've seen are FRP. Is that considered fiberglass or Polyurethane?

I'm liking the look of PD kit, but it's expensive at $4500. How is that knockoff copy for $2K?? Does anyone have experience with that one?

FRP is fiberglass. As someone who has had an authentic fiberglass piece versus a poly knockoff of the same piece, the difference was the material.

But if comparing the same materials, typically the authentic fits better. They still need adjustments, but usually less.

So based on this and the other comments, I should buy the polyurethane instead of the FRP?!?

I think polyurethane is the way to go. Here's my take. Side skirts and rear can be fiberglass, but your front you want poly. If you scrape or bump something with Fiberglass...crraaaaack. Good news, it can be repaired and repainted. With poly, it's more forgiving, so it will flex if you scrape or bump something. Hopefully, all you have to do is repaint and fix any scraping.

Even with the sideskirts though, rocks can put chips in fiberglass.

You may not have an option, I don't know if the prior design is available in polyurethane? but yes, if you can, I'd say poly for sure. The only real downside to me is paint might spider crack on you if it has to flex too much.

What am I missing? Isn't FRP a polymer [plastic] base ... Fibre Reinforced Polymer?? Not as strong as carbon fibre but not a true fibreglass product either. Instead it is a "polyurethane" that is reinforced by fibre to limit the pliability that others have alluded to when speaking of "polyurethane" issues.

I am not an expert and stand to be corrected, but that is my take on this conversation.

You are correct. FRP essentially a hybrid between the two. Offering the best of both worlds. Prior Design for the most part only deals with FRP and has been for years. It's outstanding quality for the money, and gives (as mentioned) the best of both worlds as far as ease of install and reliability.
