High Beam Assist / Night Vision camera calibration DIY
Hi everyone,
this is my first input it this forum i hope someone will find it helpful.
The problem was my high beam assist camera was out of calibration on c207. The dealer wants something about £150 for calibrating it. MB Star diagnostic with camera calibration template is used to do the job.
After some research i made my own template which i am happy to share. Simply print it on A4 format glue it to cardboard or something solid and stick it on a post. The centre of the cross must be at 1275mm height in the middle of front bumper. Plate must be at level car must be at level too. Run Star diagnostic to process. It takes less than 1 minute to calibrate camera
Here is a video on youtube doing it by someone else with original template

MBWorld Fanatic!
You didn't get any replies on this but thank you for sharing for us DIYers!
I tried faking this a few times and it certainly didn't work. I had the dreaded Night View Assist Inoperative message.

Just wanted to say thank you for this. Took a few times to figure it out. The height is different for each model but Xentry will tell you what the value is to be. I also had a problem because I was doing it in my garage at night with just the overhead lights on. I guess the lights were not enough. I ended up using the flash light on my phone to shine onto the white page. I noticed in the photo of the setup shown on Xentry, there is a light bar over the image. Once I shined the light on the page, it worked like a charm. Thanks again!!!!

I'm looking in the last few weeks trying to find out how I can get into the calibrating mode and with which software.
Please advice.
Thank
