2010 VW Golf TDI
I sure wish someone had a clue about my car here in PA. I have enough trouble just getting normal repairs, let alone doing any mods. For my suspension stuff, I went to a Porsche tuner and mine was his first and only W124. It all worked out OK, but it was a bit of trial and error and cost quite a bit. The guys on the west coast seem to have the most available to them, but looks like Hotlanta may be good too.

Better watch out, the artistic police issued a warrant for my arrest and are trying to revoke my artistic license.
They almost caught with this weapon.
Next pic, applying some artistic pressure on the fenders to convince them that they will like these AMG wheels and 245's .

If I had my way, this might happen. Those are 275/35/18 tires and 9.5" wheels front and rear.
Go big or stay on the porch.
Not much lately, newborns will prevent that!
I'll call my buddy who built this from scratch. We can go very far.
He modified my hot tub for me, so watch out..
He stored this in my shop a couple years ago after it came back from the magazines and SEMA.
I have pictures of this car with several of his kits. This he called the F1. All carbon fiber

The only "Porsche" I've owned.
There would be a bit of "P-ness" to my name too.

I had always thought that Porsche just helped with engineering the suspension and such. Interesting. With their purchase of AMG and the development of the Gayanne oops I mean Cayanne and Panamerica, I doubt we would ever see such a development again.

I heard D.B. actually approached AMG first and they couldn't handle the production numbers Mercedes wanted.
I always thought that the 500E competed with the "hammer", but at $100k. less, most likely forced AMG to sell out to DBAG. Can't beat them, join them.
As far as the Porsche connection, Ferry actually worked for DBAG before he started Porsche. He also designed Hitler's people's car, prior to Porsche which is why it's original design was so close to the V.W. Beetle.

It even allowed this person to run on 87 octane w/out problems.

Yeh, that's me.
The tuned variable resonance intake on this m104 engine is plastic and already sports awesome flow! I wouldn't touch it. It's also used on the AMG 3.6 engine.
The 500E is a different animal and there is more to reducing it's octane dependancy than a "massage".
The M113 resonance intake is magnesium and by far the most touchy and well designed one from the factory. Really hard to find any gains with. But I did after only 4 tries.
My 300E sports an adjusted intake too! Don't try to make her feel like the red headed stepchild.
For this one I think I will apply some simpler bolt on AMG parts to wake er up. Like these shown. Should be worth 5 h.p. a piece.

Wow - can I put on an AMG badge now? lol...
Let's see: I only need 3 AMG parts right?
1. Wheels
2. Oil cap
3. Hose
Car is coming together very nicely. The tint came out flawless and thanks to mbenzman - it was done in record time. There was very light tint that needed to be removed prior to the installation, so it was a very laborious process....took an entire day. He pulled some major strings to get the tint done this week - I hope Rich didn't have to give up the naming rights to his next child!
Rich's artistic license has been renewed to explore some other possibilities in the future (Rome wasn't built in a day - or so someone says )
We will explore a modified exhaust - among other ideas as time marches on.

Update-temporalily released from captivity.
We released it for the weekend based on it's good behavior during it's week in captivity. Since then it has been spotted with very bad company, a beast, no doubt getting some stalking and general misbehavior tips.
If spotted, try to remain calm and return it for more modification. ASAP.
