Thank You ZorroAMG!
So here are some pictures of my car that I took after work today. This would normally go in the picture thread but I watned to give a shout out to ZorroAMG for the killer wheels and headlights. Last time I posted pictures the car was bone stock. Now, after being inspired by everyone on this forum, my old '88 260E has transformed into this:

Lookin sharp man.
What to you have in store for her next? Updated tails? Rear filler panel? Color matched grill? V12 install?
well..that might be a little extreme.
Where did you get the eyelids? Look great.

Thanks!
I don't think I'm going to color match the grill just because the headlights are chrome and the corners are clear/chrome, so I figured the grill being chrome kind of ties the front end together. Probably not ready for the V12...yet. I think the updated tails next then hopefully suspension. I also want to get the car repainted by the end of the summer; I could be dreaming though...

Understandable. Certain things like that are all personal preference.
Look into getting a rear filler panel though. Theres a reason they put them on the newer models. Its hard to debate the difference it makes.
Good luck on the paint though. I would love to get that done, but I just dont have the money.

Yeah I'm looking for that filler panel, we've had a couple customers with the updated trunk lids with that panel and I do like it. Yeah the paint is an obsticle but i have a firend who works at a pretty well known body shop here in town so he said he would cut me a break which helps.

Nice look ! I really like the partially blacked out lowers...have not seen that look before. The Monoblock IIs are perfect for the car.
Can I ask what % tinting is in those windows, and where you got the lights ? I like both.

Car looks great man!! Now you just need to drop it.
How much is your friend quoting you for paint? All the good shops in seattle quoted like $6k for that job back when I got my car a few years ago. For that kind of money, I can live with a champagne car!! Or just buy a 124 in the color I want.

Thanks everone I do love my car and its nice to know you guys like it too.
I'm planning on doing something in terms of HIDs in the headlights but I haven't quite figured it out yet wihch ones. I love the TSX projectors but they are a little spendy and I haven't found a cheaper alternative that I like. I got the lights from ZorroAMG who I think got them on Ebay. He is also the one who supplied me with the monoblocks which I had been after ever since I got the car.
The tint is 20% all around except for the windshield which is 35%.
My guy is only gonna make me pay only cost and have me help him with all the grunt work which puts it around $1900. So its a nice little deal.
I definitely need to drop it. That is the next item on the list so as soon as I can come up with the cash.
Again thanks all for the replies it sure feels good to know all the work i've put into is paying off.

Can't believe that's the same car we saw at Birch Bay!!!
Sure looks freshened up and modern, now. Just getting rid of the fugly OEM headlights and the old wheels helped so much, but I love the tinting.
I'm glad we saw what you started with, bone stock. Looking forward to seeing the lowered final product.
PS I think MBCA is planning some event in Seattle area in early August...
Hopefully, Mark can make it, too.

Well hopefully soon! You said you're out of town this weekend but next weekend you're in Van. right? So hopefully next weekend and you can see it in person. I lucked out on the tint; a friend of mine is starting a tint business so I let him use my car as a test run and it turned out great.
Doing a lot better, back to work which is nice. They have me on these crazy seizure pills that have nasty side effects. They didn't find anything in their tests though so hopefully I won't have to take them for very long. Thanks for asking.

Now that you guys are getting revved up for another meet, I'll be away for the next two weekends.
Let me know if you plan a drive. I'd be up for it when I get back.

Enzo, my Benzo
No, I am not going down to Bellingham or WA, Benz260Benz was referring to me leaving Calgary where I am right now for work/stampede and coming back to Vancouver next weekend.

I would definitely be up for some kind of drive/meet. Maybe a kind of end of summer drive sometime in late August or something before school starts back up? How much interest would there be in that? I know it seems like we just had a meet but it would be cool to go on a little drive like chuckanut or something... What do you guys say?

Wolfie should tell us more about the drive to Baker.

Well that was something a friend of mine invited me on and so I posted on here about it the night before. My friend told me it was going to be a Euro drive and that a bunch of german made cars were going but it ended up being a bunch of VW's and Wolf and I. It was pretty fun, we met in G.I. Joe's parking lot and then drove up to the ski area. There was probably 8 or 10 of us. So yeah that was the baker drive wolfie was talking about.

That could be fun - would you guys want to do a variation of that?
What is the route like? Is it highway mostly, or twisty 2-lane country roads? Exciting corners? Cops? Are there any pebbles or large dust particles on the road that Zorro won't be able to clear???
Something like that would probably be a good event for many.
Let's set a date for a GTG. Anyone want to take point on this?

Well the drive is pretty twisty and it is a two lane road. Towards the top there is a bit of dust and the occasional flying rock depending how close you are driving to the person in front of you. It also does get a little bumpy towards the top as well. Maybe we could find an alternate route... does the 30th of August work with people? Should we start a new thread for this?

30th possible, 16th better, I'll be staying in Birch Bay, anyway.
