CME4BENZ,
Yes, it's an original sportline. I'm putting it up for sale today as a different thread. First offer will be to the club, then I'll put it in autotrader. Enjoy! - JimmyC

Are your wheels smaller or car higher?
I have a sportline (but we didn;t get the badges here in the UK).
I can't get two fingeres between the top of the front wheel arch and the tyre. The gap on yours looks a lot more. I suppose it could be a US thing as your MGB sportscars in the 70's were higher than in Europe due to regulations.

LOL! Was that a regulation so all the farmers could drive an MGB in the 70's?

Looks Like Jimmys CE sportline is for sale. Go for it. I'm not letting go of mine yet.
Jimmy, How much for the CE? I'll keep it in mind. What are you getting? Another Benz?

my CE body kits
it's a AMG look....made by Fiber Glass, fragile but cheap...
it's a mess production in Taiwan..around US$400 for the whole set (4 pieces) I've changed my 16" AMG to 17"Brabus(225/45), i will post it later the white one is my friend's E320, real AMG body kits..I forgot how much is it...at least above US$2,000 as i recalled. anyway, it looks almost the same and I don't have to worry so much while driving on the road... |

CME4,
I'm moving overseas for a while. Won't be getting a car... Also, question from Britain about the wheel gap on page 3 of this thread. The gap is the same as with the oem wheels/tires. Sportlines do ride a little lower, but still have gaps. I was in England last summer, at the Fairford airshow. I'm a USN Pilot. Beautiful country!! All, enjoy your cars, the best make on earth. - Jimmy C

ebenz - do you happen to have any pictures of yours lowered? If so, some of those would be much appreciated.
Anyways, I went camera crazy the other day, so I have a ton of pics you can look at here : http://mxpaintball.com/Car/ and here (for pics of my old car I unfortunately totalled about a year ago) : http://mxpaintball.com/Car/Old_Car And for all the lazy people (or ones restriced to dialup) I will post a few of what I think are the best. Oh yeah, although the cars look virtually identical, other than the front end, they are in fact two different cars - I did not repair the smahsed one and put a new nose on it. Enjoy! |
