Yay! Got my digital camera up and working. Now here are some better pics. All my previous pics were from the crappy Blackberry camera.

I hate the silver faceplate on that radio....I'm gonna change it out for the black one in my next post

Hello everyone,

Here are two pix of my 1990 300E, which I took delivery this morning here in the UAE. Love the W124...and after extensive research, decided to go for it! Fantastic site this, which helped me a lot in my decision. More later

18x8/9 Riveted AMG replicas with Michelin Pilot Sports on the rear and Continental Conti Sports on the front, i am waiting for some new chrome star center caps and the wheels will be complete

Like the wheels, but I'm not fond of chrome. That is my personal thing though, they match the car very well. I like it

I like it. You got 9's on the rear though wow nice! I thought 8.5's were pushing the limit before it hits the struts. Did you space it out at all? What type of offsets are those?

NICE!!

CharlestonN

I really like those wheels.

I was looking at OEM, but they are huge $$$$ !!!

Where did you find them, if you don't mind me asking?

They ride very well, better than my old AMG Reps which were by Moven

- I don't like chrome on lighter colored cars ether but i think on dark cars especially when they have harder lines like the W124 chrome wheels work well if they are the right style

- The wheels are 18x8/9 with a 35mm offset and the tires are 225/40/18 in the front 255/35/18 in the rear, I did not have to use any spacers or do any rolling but i am getting a little bit of rubbing on the outside of the tires in the back when i hit a speed bump or a dip but it feels like my shocks are sagging a bit in the rear so i think i am due for some new shocks and i might go a bit stiffer in the rear this time

- I bought the wheels from OE Wheels, they are around $600 shipped with an alloy finish and a machined polished lip but mine were $811 with chrome and the set of lugs, they also come with chrome valve stems and center caps, they usually come with the mercedes star center caps but they were all out of those so they sent me blanks

It is best to call them and give them the Item ID#, you might be able to work out a better price than they have listed on ebay and make sure they send you the right lugs for your car

Here is the link - http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/18-8-...Q5fAccessories

Thanks for the comments

Haha, if you like the look, absolutely. They fit the car very well, but they can be "over done". I think most people who change rims get those.

I'm really fond of the EvoII rims (7 spoke) provided the car has a nice brake kit.

If I keep the car, which it looks like I'm going to, I'll probably buy some knockoffs. What I really want are some 16 or 17 inch polished alloys that look like my stock ones. I like the stock design and would like it to look clean as possible. My previous cars were very noticeable....which was good for winning trophies....but bad for getting tickets. :p

Hello all

I'm Portuguese, and here the Diesel engines are the king.

That's my ride, me father's ex-car, passed to me when I took driving license, and it's a POWERFULL 200D, 2.0 Diesel engine with 75 PS.
Don't have AC, electric windows... nothing.. only electric slyding roof, sport seats, and more little things.

Here is the machine

My dad has a 2.2 190D and the fact that it has 80HP or something makes it actually so funny to drive I don't even know what it is.
I can imagine the 2.0 is even funnier. Awesome car

I bet that thing gets like 40mpg average ! My 260E could get that...coasting...while going downhill off a cliff maybe...

Hey ps2cho

Yes, it was very economical. I think that otto engines on w124 have a very very big consumption, but mine I think that it was moved by the wind ahah like a boat... very economical.

The drive is wonderfull.. very slow, but very good
