93 300 CE cabriolet top fit
Hi all,
After the entire hydraulic cycle is completed for putting the top back up it seems that when I go to lock the front of the top on my cab I cant just pull it down with one hand to get it to seat into the latches. I have to reach over and manipulate the roof a little--not a lot--to get the hooks in before I throw the levers to lock the top into place. Its not a huge bother, but I wonder if it needs to be adjusted and I am doing some un-needed roof wrestling.
Does your top just come down to lock closed by pulling it down with one hand like the manual shows?
Where or how can adjustments be made to get my hooks to align better?
If this is not an amateur job, anybody know a "top shop" in Chicago?
Thanks,
Bob

95 E320 Cab (new toy), 06 Range Rover (Hers), 97 Ferrari F355, 05 Ariel Atom 2 (the other toy)
Both cabs I've had it was always a one hand job straight into the latches. never had to wrestle with the top.

Top latch
Pretty much the same issue with my 93 300. Top works fine and, has until recently just fallen into place. Now, can't lock it down as the latches won't insert. Doe's anyone have any ideas?
Thanks

I've always found it difficult on mine, but then i'm quite small and weak, so my hands don't have much torque.
I use both hands and give it a firm, but clean pull.
